Spotify limits?

I really do not understand all of the different things that I have been reading. I am completely confused!!!

I have not downloaded anything yet to get music onto my iPod from spotify yet or to get it onto my computer, but it is something I would like to do. From what I have read, there are limitations to this, but what limitation, I do not know.

I have the free spotify and I was thinking of getting Replay Music. I want music for my personal use to run with. If I do this:

1- Will it suddenly stop playing because I have played it more times than allowed?

2- OR am I limited with the amount of times I can get music because I have reached my limit of 'listening' (copying) music?

3- OR does spotify limit in another way?

Re: www.spotify.com: How to save songs from Spotify

I appreciate that this thread is not concerned with the aspect of copyright, but I'm with @Devalish on this.

In the UK it's ?9.99 for a Premium account. That's all the music you want on your computer or mobile device, plus you can download it so that you can listen to it offline (as long as you use the Spotify software). That means I can listen to it on my PC, on my iPhone and also through my car's bluetooth stereo.

If you're so poor you can't afford ?9.99 a month then you're presumably also too stupid to be able to either break Spotify encryption and / or too dumb to follow instructions from someone that has managed to do it. Back away from the Internet ...

Piracy sucks. The film companies are suffering because they are (currently) failing to embrace new technology and given that you can download a 1080p film as fast as your internet connection will let you from pirate sites, versus paying for films that take an age to come out and only allow 720p quality they're surely going to continue to suffer. Therefore, for the moment I hope they continue to suffer until they realise they need to raise their game and stop ripping consumers off.

Spotify has corrected this problem within the music industry and provided a quality product, with a quality catalogue at a fair price. I don't think that there is any excuse to pirate music any more. You're just a thief against that backdrop ... unless you can find a decent reason to justify trying to (and amusingly failing) to steal music from Spotify?

The only thing that I can think of (and it's WEAK argument) is that you don't like their music player.

What about playing music offline while keeping the subscription? Do you think it is piracy as well?

You are able to play music offline. You download it to your device (whether it's you PC, your phone, etc ...). You have to log in every 30 days to keep your offline content available. So no, it's not piracy as it's possible and there are checks in place to ensure that you don't download lots of content and then simply end your subscription.

Without trolling, the only reason that I can see for people wanting to copy music from Spotify is quite simply because they are thieving little gypsies. There's just no excuse now.

Hey, to the idiot who said we are going to ruin it...how about this...my band is on spotify, and I don't have a copy of our CD from 1991. I have never seen a dollar from my work on this record, but the label still releases it digitally. Since it's a punk rock record, and I'm punk rock, I will never sue over it, but I want my effing music. So, I hope somebody has a nifty way of copying the track so I can have a copy of my own album. After all, I have been asking the record label for a copy of the CD for years, but they never gave me copies (except when it was released).
