Place rtmpdump.exe in the Replay Media Catcher install folder. Then go to the Settings and configure as shown above. For example:
Code:

Protocol: RTMPE
Url Match: myspacecdn.com
Executable: rtmpdump.exe
Parameters: -r "{url}" -o "{file}"

The "Url Match" is a regular expression that is matched against a detected URL that is streaming on a given protocol to determine whether the specified executable should be used to perform the download or not.

The biggest problem with this approach is that RMC can send a URL to rtmpdump only, so any additional parameters including the ones needed for SWF verification should be specified manually for every particular web-site.

If you have any idea how to make RMC using 3rd party applications for downloading RTMPE or any other streams, please let everyone know.

So, applian had the Jaksta dude write Replay Media Catcher (rmc) 4? Will jaksta still be developed? I couldn't install rmc4 on the OS where I had jaksta already installed, but it installed fine on another partition where I didn't have jaksta installed. I wonder if the device drivers between jaksta and rmc4 conflict. Anyway, it is interesting that applian would go for a complete change with the jaksta base.

Are there any programs that don't mention anything about it on their web-sites, but still are able to handle the RTMPE protocol?

so that i can see them and enjoy myself

Tested NetTransport (NetXFer) 2.96b. It allows to download RTMPE streams. But I wasn't able to find any RTMPE URLs with its URL Sniffer. The program doesn't have any additional fields for SWF verification as well as many other RTMPE parameters, but I was able to download RTMPE streaming videos from MTV, Crunchyroll, vpro.nl using it.

f**king criminy. after 12 hours of playing with RTMPexplorer, RTMPdump and rtmpsrv, going through tutorials, installing .NET 4, editing HOSTS files, making .bat executables.. none of it worked. rtmpexplorer and rtmpsrv were my biggest waste of time today. literally useless. i had rtmpdump working a few months ago, but it was too much of a pain in the ass just to have it fail after downloading 75% of the stupid video.

on the other hand, GetFLV seemed to work great, though of course i dont have a spare $50 at the moment. cost me $70 to fill my gas tank last week. guess i wont be having the luxury of that program any time soon.

someone mentioned URL Snooper not finding RTMPE streams anymore, and someone else gave the thing a D+ grade. in fact, this is one of the only programs ive been able to use successfully in finding all available streams for one video, and its still working great for me. this is from 20 mins ago at MTV.com:

SO bummed CooJah's record feature doesnt work anymore... so bummed...

RTMPexplorer and CooJah are the only working GUI RTMPE recorders right now.

If you have problems downloading complete videos with RTMPdump, just try to use the resume option.

most boardies dont spend the energy and time (like you did) for a particular streaming recording problem. instead they open a thread with "www.websitexyz.com : i cant record their stream, plz heeelp!!" and other boardies would try to help.
I have got lots of positive results with GetFLV (and there are some GetFLV clones which are identically powerful). Even if URL Snooper 2 can detect or capture the RTMPE url's, it cannot download them.

heh yeah ive basically come to realize this. RTMPdump seems great and apparently works for a lot of people, but im just too damn lazy to deal with all the parameters. guess ill have to SUFFER without being able to download streams for a month or two haha, thanks guys
