thanks very much

I have similar question to the above question.
I need help on IP Public stuff. I have :

- TP Link Wr 543G Router
- 4 ch AVTech DVR.

Locally (inside My network) I could access my DVR. But, couldnt frm outside. My ISP gave me a dynamic IP which I connected to dyndns and obtained a host name.

My Question is : What should I do next with the condition above?

Note that My ISP wont let me have a port connected to MY dvr. or ALL ports are closed.

Please help.

Have you set up your router to forward data to a DVR as mentioned above?

static is for local view only isn't how can you connect through internet?

is it dhcp or pppoe?

I only have static IP on my DVR and the ISP setting on the router and on the DVR network set up I only see IP, Subnet, Gateway, AV port, Command port. And the DVR and my system is connected to the router and my system get is IP automatically from the Router but my DVR is set to Static IP. I can really say if my DVR has dyndns so what did you think I can do?

10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255, 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 IP addresses are common in home and office local area networks (LANs), as globally routable addresses are scarce, expensive to obtain, or their use is not necessary. These addresses are private because they are not globally delegated, meaning they aren't allocated to a specific organization. If such a private network needs to connect to the Internet, it must use either a network address translator (NAT) gateway, or a proxy server.

Ask your ISP whether you can get a real IP address or port forwarding.

Ask your ISP whether you can get a real IP address or port forwarding so that you can use your DVR.
