@GO1984 has Elite Subscription. What happened to him? Guys give your account details temporarily to Sparx, he knows what he is doing.

It's not freezing, It's writing ID3v2 tags (cover, info, etc)

I was thinking it would be nice (and probably easier) to port this app to Android (since it uses Java). Too bad I'm not that skilled yet. I always postpone my Android programming tutorials. What do you think?

I have premium subscription to T-i-d-a-l if someone want to experiment on how to rip flac from there. Also do d-e-e-z-e-r keep flacs? - i thought they streamed max at 320kbps!!

I wanted to port it, and I have a picture in my head how it should look and work, but I also always postpone coding for Android :D

@iamsumit: If you have a Sonos device you can get an Deezere Elite Subscription. With that you can stream flac to your Sonos devices.

Thanks for the reply mate.
Do i require one of these - http://www.sonos.com/products/wireless-speakers?
I see that sonos works with tidal too.

What else is required after buying sonos device and a elite membership - i mean are flac saved in the sonos device that i can extract?

Also, wanted to check if i can record flac from any other site without sonos investment? Thanks a lot for you time mate.

Is there any way to "get" the links and download on a Download Manager? because the download on the downloader is SLOW, REALLY REALLY SLOW (30kb/s here)...

You can sniff them with something like URLSnooper 2 or Wireshark when you play them in your browser.
But then you have random file names, no tags and most of all you'd need to decrypt them by hand.
My advice: don't do it^^

I try to implement more download threads, that should speed up the process quite a bit

Please, fix the year on the tag and symbols , /, only puts an artist in the tracks and tag that have been created by more than one artist

It works:
Artist & Artist - Title
Artist Vs Artist - Title

It doesn't work:
Artist / Artist - Title
Artist, Artist - Title

I already said I fix that, don't push me.

Bad News

DEEZER downloader doesn't work anymore!

Deezer made a major change related both to its streaming process and quality making current downloader obsolete. All streams are currently 128kbit/s MP3s and URL generation process has changed. The decryption process remains the same though. The development should be focused on its elite (FLAC / lossless) streaming service.

I would like you all to confirm the same (in case of any kind of regional-only restrictions).

OFFTOPIC:

A somewhat similar streaming service called NetEase (music.163.com) has also applied new regional restrictions to its service, making both streaming and downloading HQ (320kbit/s) music outside of China impossible.

Another major service called Rdio was also recently shut down, also making downloading its high quality 126kbit/s AAC (almost equal to 320kbit/s MP3) impossible.

Grooveshark was also shut down last year but that's old news.

Spotify service is so well designed and secured that it's almost impossible to make anything out of it.

The only remaining services are TIDAL (WiMP) and Rhapsody, both of which have no non-premium subscription models.

The main point of this post is that unfortunately the future for any young stream ripper out there is not too bright currently (besides using unreliable and inefficient soundcard-based recording methods). New ways of high quality music stream ripping must be discovered...
