Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI notice on WP, an iview user posted details of napper logs they sent to support because of problems they were having with their unmetered service. /facepalm

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersYeah, whilst not specifically blaming that user, overall it doesn't help.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersHas anyone tried this code:

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI didn't as it was old code, but it looks to have some recent activity, so I've downloaded it and will check it out.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersHas anyone been able to download the show "Operation Babylift"?
It plays on iView Player. Downloaders, and HiDownload, Stream Transport fail to get it. |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI haven't used batch downloader (Windows) for a while, but the v15.85 and 15.86 (just installed) give error messages.

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersThe Business 7 August stops at ~3Mb (3%) - seems OK on iView Player (I viewed the first couple of minutes, then skipped ahead a few times).
I really want to see this one - has anyone managed to download all of it? Examining it with FireFox and FlashGot, it has a manifest f4m file and a series of segments. Strange that the next day's The Business (8 August) is still amenable with rtmpdump. |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersThis is possibly/probably irrelevant to downloaders using rtmpdump.exe - unless some parameters need tweaking. I haven't explored that.
There have been some changes to iView servers that send the video stream down to us - particularly for those with unmetered ISPs - see iView Message Board, here According to that message, this will also affect devices and operating systems where the version of Adobe Flash Player (eg, installed into browser) is older. For example, using PS3 devices to view iView shows through the Player website seems to cause the usually unmetered server to switch to a metered one. I have discovered that for Windows, the latest Flash Player version is 11.8.800.94 (Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox). See here for the latest version for Chrome and Linux (etc). |

I have paid for 1 year for www.nappers.net, so I'm going to have to let that finish off. |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI am now NBN-connected at 100/40 (and have an overlapping ADSL connection), but I see a download rate of only 1100KB/s.
Any ideas on why this is? On a speedtest, I'm getting 95.7Mbps/35.0Mbps so it is "as-advertised". |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersQuote:
What download rates are others getting? Is it ever more than 1200KB/s? |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersAnyone else having an issue with iviewnapper 20130621 closing when fetching a video? Napper loads the show and series lists just fine, but as soon as I try and fetch it the program closes without the cmd window popping up for rtmpdump.
Verified show is working on iview, and tried random shows, they also closed. Tried swapping in the latest rmtpdump, that did squat. |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersThanks MCE, working for me, though should mention I had a 404 error pop up relating to subtitles (I don't use them, but forgot to disable after restoring from norton...damn reputation bull#$%^)

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloaders[quote=eegee;63960]Get ready for some more changes:
http://www2b.abc.net.au/tmb/Client/M...8&m=27962&dm=2 From time to time the ABC makes updates to iview's video streaming platform to take advantage of new technology and standards. Most recently, changes were undertaken to make iview's streaming platform compatible with HDS, Adobe's new standard for video streaming. It doesn't augur well, friends. |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersJust went to load iview; ff address bar history popped up this link, although I don't recall ever seeing this particular page before!

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI'm getting an error message that is new, to me at least.
System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. It brings up the index but if I go to a programme lower down the list than the 3rd the image sticks on ABC 24 and I get the above error message. Any ideas? Thanks |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI'm currently checking out why ABC News 24 Live Stream JSON is being appended to nearly every series JSON data.
If you look at the two following examples, you will see what I mean. http://tviview.abc.net.au/iview/api2/?series=1514053 http://tviview.abc.net.au/iview/api2/?series=81041448 Hope to have a fix soon. |

I was getting the same problem over the last couple of days, but I have just successfully downloaded a program (last night's edition of "By Any Means") so it appears to have fixed itself. :) maybe it was a glitch at the ABC's end? Cheers . . . |
Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersNapper reports "RTMP SERVER SENT ERROR".
Using Rtmp 2.3r557, Napper v20140119 . Welcome any thoughts. |

I'm now getting the Unhandled exception error continually. |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersQuote:
Perhaps try deleting your present copies of the Napper and rtmpdump and re-downloading the latest version of the Napper (20140119) and rtmpdump (win32-2.3r557), just in case your copies have somehow been corrupted. I am assuming, of course, you are not trying to run the 64-bit version of the latter on a 32-bit system. And, for both this and the previous reply, I am further assuming the use of the explicit "...-win32-..." in the recommended download implies there is also a "...-win64-..." version - if not, then I will pull in my head and bury it deep in sand! God's richest blessings to all! :) |

Re: How to use iView (ABC Australia) downloadersI like to catch up on 'news' things, like Midday report, the ABC evening news, etc - but iView seems to miss out days at a time (not that I have been thorough in checking daily at the right time, in the last 2 weeks).
Has anyone else noticed this? |
