I want to buy GetFLV, but the payment company they use is a little shady (Google the company name.). I was suspicious when they added on sales tax for no reason. They post a note on the order telling you that you can opt out of the sales tax if you believe you shouldn't have to pay, but it's a lengthy process and there's no reason they wouldn't be able to tell from my address whether or not I would be subjected to sales tax. Of course, they're planning on no one bothering to go through the process so that they can pocket the sales tax they shouldn't be getting.

I have bought GetFLV before. My version is expired and that's why I want to buy the new version. I would be happy to pay $59.95 for it. I am not going to pay the extra $5 to that MyCommerce payment company they have, especially since I don't feel comfortable giving them my credit card information or PayPal information. If you want me to pay through regular PayPal, I am ready to pay now. This is how I did it before. There wasn't this 3rd party company.

I was hoping to get this bought so I could start using it today. Please respond now and I will email you and pay with PayPal. Thanks.

Now I am unable to download anything at all from Hulu. I'm also experiencing the same issues with the Chrome browser within GetFLV with it not playing any video, with only the audio of the introductory commercials being played. It does list the streams for downloading and if there are subtitles, it downloads those, but on the download page it just hangs without ever starting the video download, sometimes suggesting to use RTMP mode which obviously won't work (nor would I care to use it) since the video is not playing.

I've tried both links for each stream (fplive and huluedgecast) with no success on any of them. I am logged into my Hulu+ account while trying to download and have also tried not logging in, none of which works.

Using 9.8.178.18 (latest version as of this posting)

Can confirm all the above, I'm experiencing exactly the same. I'm guessing Hulu did something to stop GetFLV working because the app still works with other sites. :mad:

Downloads are working again - thanks for a speedy fix; however, the Browser screen still only has a blank screen and only audio of first commercial while playing.

and downloads not starting on hulu it seems a hit and miss with this software which I purchased under a week a go

I can confirm 181 works, but it freezes frequently, though if I wait long enough, it will come back to life. Frustrating.

Also, previous versions (17x), would list both the darwinfs and huluedge links, now 181 only lists the darwinfs links.

IE kernel does not work at all.

with 9.8.181.18 I can download shows but longer movies stop halfway through...i used to be able to stop/start when it got stuck and it would pickup where it left off, but now when I stop/start, it does not continue the download.

Also, as in the post below, with the previous version there were 2 links for every download and I usually had better luck choosing the huluedge one, but now I only get the darwinfs.

Please fix this! and thank you for your continued updating of getFLV.

Not really comfortable giving out my login info at this time.

I guess I will wait for the next update, and hope it fixes this problem.

Same here , same version, impossible to download any Three Stooges videos. I am using the free Hulu version under Windows 10 pro. Thanks for your help. I Tried IE Kernel, still no go! GetFlv has always been my favorite FLV downloader . When will it be possible to download F4M streams with GetFLV?

Downloading Hulu movies.
Movie streams are displayed and can be captured.
Movie does not play in movie browser.
This is the case for all Hulu movies.
This is the same problem since GETFLV release 9.8.175.18 .
As others have reported, this release does not recover from a stalled download when stopping and starting download.

Yes, it would be great if the problem with not being able to completely download an HD movie can be fixed. I too used to pause the download part way through and restart it and it would usually finish. Now, restarting does not work and I have yet to fully download an HD movie that's more than 90 minutes long.

Honestly, not being able to see the video in GetFLV doesn't bug me at all. In fact, I prefer to not see it since I always back out of it so that it's not eating bandwidth while I'm downloading the FLV file.

WIndows 7 Pro, GETFLV 9.8.178.18

Hulu movies are no longer downloading.
If I look at the Repository folder. The movie size keeps switching between 0KB and 1KB. Very strange behavior.
The SRT file downloaded fine.
Everything else is stuck.
I downgraded from 9.8.183.18 because movie download recovery no longer works on that version.
It almost looks like Hulu has changed their protection scheme again.

huludesktop is still working.
Hulu desktop movies display in the movie browser and the fplive streams can start download.
However, when the download stalls, it cannot be recovered. I used to be able to stop and start the download to continue, but that no longer works in the Hulu desktop and without the Hulu desktop.

Hulu movies are not downloading at all anymore. I guess Hulu changed the protection scheme on the protocol - again.
I tried downloading http://www.hulu.com/watch/800767
The first ad had audio and no visual. After that, no audio or visual.
The download streams displayed but any of the streams selected did nothing.
Hope this gets fixed soon.

I was able to simultaneously download 3 Hulu movies without any stalling. Something major was fixed.
However, the movie browser window still shows nothing. See attached video to get an idea of how the browser window is stuck.

The Download status screen works fine and is more important to me than the movie browser screen.

I assume you mean Atresdownloader? That doesn't seem to work with the live stream on the homepage.

LetMeAtIt is interesting, but for my purposes I need to be able to watch the stream in VLC while it downloads.

GetFLV seems to start downloading the flv file from the live stream then it abruptly crashes :(

Just to confirm, were you able to download the 3100K stream fully? I still can't get it to work on this movie: http://www.hulu.com/watch/777087

And I'd understand if it stopped in the exact same place each time, but it doesn't. Sometimes it stops around 63%, sometimes it gets as far as 82%, so something tells me there's something not working right with the program, or Hulu is injecting some sort of random garbage that causes GetFLV to stop downloading the file completely. Regardless, I still can't pause and restart the download as I was able to in previous versions of GetFLV, which was how I was able to download full movies in the past.

It stops half way and I can't stop/restart the thread to continue downloading.

Tried logging in to Hulu, not logging in Hulu, Chrome browser, Safari, letting the video window stay open, closing it...nothing works.

The issue with not being able to fully download 3100K stream movies I believe may have to do with the length of the film. I was just able to download a movie that runs 73 minutes with no issues, but it seems like the magic cutoff is around the 78 minute mark. Any film longer than this, in the past, I was able to pause part way through the download, then resume it and more often than not it would complete since the remaining portion of the movie would likely be less than 78 minutes. I was even able to somehow get a 1080p version (the only time I was ever offered a bitrate higher than 3100K) of Who's Harry Crumb back when it was still available. So I have a feeling that the problem likely lies with the program itself, not Hulu. Could it be a 32-bit math issue?

Atresdownloader can capture that but use version a3toMP4v17.3F.exe
from here http://www.videohelp.com/download/a3toMP4v17.3F.exe - Do not upgrade to the latest version as it doesn't seem to work properly.




In Atresdownloader you paste the link where it says 'url' then click the magnyfying glass icon. Shortly it will show you a list of different quality m3u8 links... click the one you want and wait!

As confirmed by others, 181, 191, neither can download anything over an hour+ long. Gets stuck with no way to resume. Getting very frustrating.

Attempting to download paywalled VOD with latest registered GetFLV (9.8.191.58) and it either crashes GetFLV or if I manually paste the m3u8, it will download 99.9% of the video, but cannot piece the fragments back together. It seems the video never actually plays either. The ads run and then it stays on "Buffering" without the video actually beginning playback. IE and Chrome kernel produce similar results, and iPad/Android kernels do not allow playback as Flash is required. I sent a PM yesterday with more info.

The newly released 9.8.193.58 does the same thing. The program hasn't crashed yet, but the downloads still hang at 99.9% and the video never plays in the 'browser'.
