Replay Media Catcher doesn't support RTMPE streams anymore:
As of January 28, 2009, any newly installed copy of Replay Media Catcher does not support Adobe Secure RTMP Measures.

But you can use RTMPE recorders like freeware CooJah + Blader. Blader worked just fine for me..

blader failed for me a SECOND time

the software stated the response of:

Looks like that RTMP downloading failed. Latest
Coojah supports RTMP recording. Click the link
below to learn how to record RTMP by CooJah.

I have tried to use CooJah and stripped it off my system as it is NOT a good program FOR ME. The video tutorials is no longer on the pointed links of

http://www.hensence.com/cn/coojah/re...h_tutorial.avi

Anyone have any other reliable EASY to use programs something at least along the lines of Orbit? Orbit Downloader seems to be the more refined of the RTMP recorders but of course it does NOT work when I tested it for gametrailers.com TV reports.

The player highlights each part of the episode, and you can forward to the beggining of each part to find its URL.

You can join videos afterwards if you want. Or you can just create a playlist instead.
If you can inform me of the manner by which you were able to get it operational if your system is NOT using M$IE I would be appreciative of any further assistence.

If you are M$IE then I have to wait on a better RTMP recording software package that works in foxfire/mozilla and forget it for the present time.

I couldn't make CooJah to work for a long time.

Orbit Downloader is easy to use for savvy computer users. It is a very complex program for noobs. And fails often when downloading RTMP streams, no wonder commercial tools like Replay Media Catcher are so popular.

And Orbit doesn't support RTMPE streams, so won't help here. You need to use RTMPE recorders instead.

Won't suggest any RTMP recording tools.

Re: Replay Media Catcher limits -- mp4, avi on Gametrailers.com

my apologies, the board software accidentally deleted the other gamertrailers thread (started by customer20983). so let's keep it this way: one single thread for the subject "gametrailers.com - plz heeeelp me with recording their game trailers büüäähh!!" :p
if you have problems with catching or downloading their streams, then report/post your problems here (e.g. URL Snooper2 doesnt catch anymore, ..), thanks.

You are doing better than I am as I get complete fails with the softwares listied here. I will have to wipe (low reformat my hard drive again and try the hex demical dump but at this point I have no real hope as all I get are the fololwing results

gametrailers.com

URL Snooper 2 .29 -- fail (rtmpe streams specific, NOT .flv)

GetFLV -- fail (rtmpe streams specific, NOT .flv)

NetTransport -- fail

HiDownload -- fail

I assume that you want to get the url from http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/103 based on the cap you posted.

Some of the software above must work because it's just a simple HTTP stream, you put in 'rtmp' as keyword in URL Snooper,so you wouldn't find anything anyway.

The video link is
http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_..._323_v3hi8.flv

As for the 2nd website,i cant access it outside of US so i cant test.

No. As listed by " boneramous lugayness " above, you can see his screen cap lists

rtmpe://--------------.mp4

urls on MTV. I have used all of the listed softwares and found that only on a few sites do they still access rtmpe urls. Most of these freewares FAIL on displays rtmpe urls now such as MTV music video streams and gametrailers.com which are STILL using rtmpe but are now encryped in such a way that they are no longer detectable by these systems.

I am presently going through the long hex dump capture process and hoping it is not a waste of time after being told that jaksta still works and finding it does NOT work for gametrailers or MTV music videos though still works for some rtmpe sites.

Instead of software you tested, use freeware RTMPexplorer, paid GetFLV, freeware rtmpsrv.

Re: Gametrailers.com - capture and record game trailers

I.ve also tried URL Snooper with the gametrailers URL and i can confirm that it is not working for me, if i go for the manually scan. However if i sniff my network after playing just a little peace of the trailer i end up with a bunch of "rtmpe://cp74787.edgefcs.net/ondemand/spikecomstor/contentstore/getStream/gt/gttv/407/t_gttv_407_a_3n2i6_400.mp4".
How can i download these url to my HD so i can watch the eps on my pc.

These are some valid gamtrailers URLs:
Code:

http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/118
http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/119
http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/gametrailers-tv/120
