How to convert flash .FLV videos to DivX, Xvid,... using freeware software


 
Here is how how to convert flash .FLV videos to DivX, Xvid,... using using free AviSynth and VirtualDub (Windows):
  • Get an FLV Splitter, install ffdshow and enable the FLV1 decoder (I use K-Lite codec pack).
  • Install AVISynth.
  • Use VirtualDub or your AVI encoder of choice.

I prefer freeware MediaCoder to SUPER. Both programs are OK. I wish they have a better interface though.

And I don't think these programs will have any spyware/malware if you download them from official source. But you should always check your downloads with a reliable antivirus software like Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security.

It was downloaded from the official site (SUPER). My antivirus shows suspicious files when the programme is started and quarantines them.

I want to advice this usefull tool WM Converter
It allows you convert FLV files to video movie AVI, mp4, WMV, MPEG files or others.
