Hi,

I have RMC4 but im a newbie. Could you please guide me through setting up the plugin for the bbc iplayer website which uses swf verification (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/). so far i've downloded rtmpdump zip file and extracted it and copied the rtmpdump app file (is this what u mean when talking about the .exe file?) into my RMC4 directory. Thank You.

Please note that RMC 4 allows to download RTMPE streams only when it can extract RTMPE URLs from playlists.

You do need to extract rtmpdump.exe to the RMC 4 folder.

You will also need to create a new template:
Code:
Protocol: RTMPE
Url Match: "domain_used_for_RTMPE_BBC_URLs "
Executable: rtmpdump.exe
Parameters: -r "{url}" -o "{file}" -s "SWF_Player_URL"
I can find the SWF URL, but can't find the domain that is used for BBC RTMPE streams (due to regional restrictions).

a closer coupling of rtmpdump.exe with RMC4 would be desirable..
And Replay Media Catcher 4's url-capture-capability is not as great as some other tool (StreamTransport, CooJah), which don't even use WinPcap.

rtmpdump needs lots of parameters to download streams. And you can't get them without decryption. But hopefully there will be a way to redirect traffic to rtmpsrv, rtmpsuck or any other program that will be able to get RTMPE parameters.

If you have any idea how this can be implemented, please let us know.

oh i second this feature request!
rtmpdump needs rtmpsrv. and using both commands in a black box (command line) isnt very user-friendly -- just look at the hundreds of users on this board who try to use rtmpdump and fail to get any download success, simply because they dont know how to use the tool properly (maybe because some are too lazy to read the manual/documentation of rtmpdump). since rtmpsrv does all the work, it should be possible to make it work with Replay Media Catcher 4. implementation, how? i dunno. :(

Could you please help me to configure RMTRE in Replay Media Catcher (RMC4) ? I went to settings, plugins and configured:
Protocol: RMTPE

URL: www.hulu.com
Executable: rmtpdump.exe (which I put on the RMC4 folder)
Parameters: -r "{url}" -o "C:\Users\User\Documents\My Streaming Media"

With these settings I continue to receive just adds from Hulu. What configuration I'm doing wrong?
