I had the same problem in Windows. I found the following solution:

1. Find the latest version of your driver, download it.
2. Uninstall your current driver and install the new one.
3. After uninstalling the driver and rebooting it will be automatically reinstalled. The audio still may not work.
4. Amazingly though, sometimes after putting the system in hibernate mode and coming back, the audio worked.

Hope it helps if it doesn't they have other suggestions.

Record off any loopback device. No messing with settings.
