One can always use screen video capture software to record streaming videos.

I'm not sure about other streaming video recorders, but ... I can let you know this for free, :D although donations are welcomed :D ...
Jaksta (in the RTMP packet capturing mode) and Grab Pro don't have any problems capturing RTMP video streams from 4tube.com and saving them to hard disk

p.s. You are probably right about downloading from 4tube, but avid users can try to download 4tube videos with RTMP recorders or RTMPE recorders like freeware command line application rtmpdump.

I have tried to download from 4tube only software that records seems to be Jaksta (Replay Media Catcher 4) and even then its jumpy and freezes, anyone else found a solution yet?

I don't have any problem downloading 4tube.com videos with Replay Media Catcher 4.0.14 (Jaksta). After downloading RMC fixes the video automatically, and it plays just fine for me.

What FLV player do you use? Have you tried any alternatives?

4tube.com uses RTMP SecureToken protection.

Latest GetFLV can also download 4tube.com videos now. Please check it and give us some feedback.
