In chrome it is more complicated because the idiotic chromium development team ruined html5 support in chrome starting in v54. Two steps must be done to completely disable flash.

1. Settings, show advanced settings, privacy, content settings, flash, block sites from running flash.
2. chrome://flags, prefer HTML over Flash, enabled.

Note that expired global videos can be downloaded too if the filename can be discovered which it usually can be. Don't expect this to last forever.

ahh, there we go, I knew i was doing something wrong. Got it working perfectly now. I wonder if there's any other streams available, as this one is a little grainy. Figured they'd have different bitrates, Either way, thanks for the help, and thanks tvgplayer, plugin works great.

I did notice that the earlier seasons don't work the same way. Here's one for example: http://www.globaltv.com/bigbrotherca...v=411182659799

If i have flash disabled, it says i need flash to play it, and if I search, with flash on or off, no results. Any idea how to grab these ones? Thanks!

OMG! Thank you guys so much! I disable the flash on firefox and went to ADP and checked the Open Blocklist items and mp4 was there. Thank you! Finally!

The flash player does have different bitrates;
highest_16x9
high_16x9
medium_16x9
low_16x9
lowest_16x9
audio

The html5 player has only the best bitrate, highest_16x9 (540p). This is the best they offer on any player.

That video doesn't have the html5 player. The pid is different for the flash player vs the html5 player, and there is also a parent pid that gives both of the child pids for both flash and html5. You could inject the parent pid for this old video into the html5 player for a newer video and it will work, but that would be mind-numbingly tedious to do for a lot of videos. Better to wait and see if they update the old videos with the new html5 player.
