Re: TubeDigger 2.3.3 4od

I'm using a registered version of Tubedigger 2.2.3 with no problems on 4OD - However I am registered on the Channel 4 website as well.

Tubedigger have released version 3.1.1 (I think) - I was given a prompt to upgrade when I launched the program tonight, but I'd like to now a bit more before I upgrade (improvement is not always better!)
Tubedigger website still down though...

I am a registered user of Tubedigger and Channel 4 as well and used to have few problems downloading but since the 2nd or 3rd week of August everything seems to have changed. I am not living in the UK at the moment and use a good "paid for" UK proxy so perhaps Tubedigger still works at 4OD if you live in the UK and don't have to use a proxy .... but not if you are overseas.

On the TubeDigger website, it says you can try recording from YouTube 4oD and YouTube Channel 4. But that didn't work for me. I think it's OK for older stuff but recently shown on TV and newly uploaded will not record.
I don't really know what to do.

Does anyone use GetFLV? Is that working with 4od right now? Is it worth getting?

You could try mobile 4oD. The only downside is that the resolution is only 240p, but it's better than nothing.

There is definitely something subtly different about time-limited content now - if you watch very closely right after the 4oD ident or sponsor's clip, one or two small white dots appear in the middle of the screen. Not sure what the significance of that is.

If you look at the XML page for this video they've changed the format from RTMPE for older content to Adobe HDS (.f4m) with Flash Access DRM.
If anyone knows anything that can deal with that I'd love to know.

n.b. theres an interesting discussion here: http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-v.../detail?id=379
