Same here. Im using the latest flash player and getflv 9.8.86.18 and im on windows 8.1
This makes me ask which is the preferred flash player version works best if it even has anything to do with that.

I was getting .srt subtitle files with 9.8.58.18, but now under 9.8.86.18 and the latest Flash player under Windows 7, I too am no longer getting the subtitle files. What happens is the program downloads the .flv file along with a .dat file which used to be converted (I believe) into an .srt file within the first few seconds of the download. Now, the .dat file simply disappears about a second after it starts to download. Hope this will be fixed soon.

The latest version can download hulu subtitle. But the subtitles contain something like "&gt;&gt; \xe2\x99\xaa" instead of "<< ♪". The encoding is not UTF-8.
And there's some lines missing. For example, the subtitle of “http://www.hulu.com/watch/763858” doesn't have three lines starting from 21s.

Same here using 9.8.89.18. Sure enough, it's saving in ANSI format instead of UTF-8, as you've described. Nice to have the subtitles back, but would be better to have them decoded properly.

Okay, looks like subtitles are back to UTF-8 format in version 9.8.95.18.

Hello!

Recently bought GetFLV but I'm in trouble. I'm using the latest version of GetFLV with Windows 7 32bit to download the videos. I can only push the play when I select Kernel IE and Chrome Kernel. He comes to recognize two options: M3U8 and F4M. Leaving checked or unchecked the option "Enable Record Mode RTMP" I select F4M with the best quality video and click on OK to start the download. In FLV Downloader tab already appears in the "completed" and the 4GB file size field is varying widely. It starts with 4GB and ranges up 0kb. When I look at the downloaded file he has only 1kb with the following content:

If I select the Safari Kernel mode (iPad) the message that Adobe Flash Player is required, although it is already installed and functioning normally.

When not face the file size of the problem with 1kb, sometimes the download appears with 170MB and "completed" 170MB, but it's never finished. By observing the Download the file folder that was to have 170MB (as stated in GetFLV) appears with 5mb.

What are the reasons for these problems? So far I could not download the video.

I tried to download the M3U8 but failed. It is locked and does not begin. Now the F4M the last time you tested it started to download with 200mb and it appeared that he had done 200mb, but the file was 100mb and appeared not completed. It seems to be an intermittent problem. The last few times I tried to download the same video gave the 4GB problem creating a file with 1kb.
The best is to download the F4M because it allows me to choose the video quality.

Can anyone confirm if this program will download videos from xfinity.com, for instance, their "on demand" section?

Friend of mine said he tried his paid version and only got to 99% and it fails every time. He is running 9.8.99.18

I would buy this for that capability alone. Specific feedback appreciated, thanks.

Hello! I am using the 9.8.99.18 version of GetFLV program. Yesterday after program update could download four videos without any problems. But today I could not finish any download any video from the same site. The video is downloaded but not completed. When looking at the size of the downloaded file it is much lower than that contained in the program.

Is this the wonderful Getflv support I keep hearing about? I have asked you for help, submitted my video links as asked and you stopped responding? You have 3 times come on and answered other posts but glazed over mine like they were not there.

I have read the reviews on other sites about the lack of support, people not getting refunds, and even my own cousin who paid for this program told me the same. He contacted you guys through email about his xfinity.com issue several times and he never heard back.

I came to you, money in hand, to ask you this one question and the lack of respect to even give a "no" is unprofessional.

I also notice your website advertises downloading xfinity/comcast videos. Now granted, I realized your video advertising pages are just the same generic page with the name of the video streaming site replaced on each one, but you should not advertise the capability of your product, knowing it is unable to deliver. The same goes true for advertising refunds if you don't intend to give them, or go out of your way to make it hard on the consumer.

So I took it upon myself to download the trial version, since I couldn't get any support for you, and try downloading the videos on my own. I figure, if it grabbed 30 mb, it might grab the whole stream if I paid for the full version.

Sure enough, it loads the vid, I select the m3u8, select my quality and it crashes the program on each one. So I guess i dodged a bullet almost buying this thing.

That's ok, there are other choices, but thanks for continuing to ignore me. It helped me to know where not to send my money too and what program NOT to recommend on my site.

Latest version 9.8.106.18 keeps saying "This version of GETFLV can not support your latest version of flash player now. Please install latest GETFLV and check again." Well. I'm on the latest and already was when the warning sprang. Anyone else having this problem? BTW has anyone TRULY been able to download HuLu because I've never even come close. I bought a year license and have wasted weeks and have gotten nothing for my money. I have no interest in even trying the screen capping mode.

Got the newest version of getflv and have the latest flash. Still after owning this program for weeks I have never successfully downloaded a hulu stream. The only thing that can do it is screen capture software and that is not classified as ripping plus there are free programs that can already do that. It's possible that I'm missing something but, I kind of doubt it at this point in the game. So, please tell us. Are you screen capping or are you literally downloading directly from their servers?

However, I am sure many are interested to know if the recording function records video or rip
