Saving settings comes with the next version.

The cover size will stay at 500x500, because that's the the biggest cover size deezer has.
I can get 1000x1000 px images, but they look crappy. I think they get just upscaled if you try to get anything beyond 500px

Not a complaint but an observation - one of the beauties of deezer.link was that it liberated music whichever country it was intended for. Good as the new system is, it seems to work only on tracks available in the UK. For example, this Overtones album https://www.deezer.com/album/1614409 includes their version of We Can Work It Out but your downloader cannot access the album. I can see it and play it via German using Zenmate but if I access Deezer from the UK it redirects to this album https://www.deezer.com/album/1288617 which is the German one with a different title and without bonus tracks.

It would be good if it worked on all national versions of Deezer

As a further aside to my last message, if I access the German track via other methods and download it, it sounds garbled. What is the method used to turn these encrypted tracks back into perfect mp3s?

I was able to download both versions without issues.
My program ignores region restrictions completely, so it can't get redirected to another version at all.
I downloaded a lot of songs, that are not available in my region (Germany).

The songs get decrypted on the fly while downloading. Another user also mentioned that it didn't work for him. But I can't reproduce this so I can't really tell where the error was.
Try to redownload that song.

Thanks for your reply - I think the reason that you can download both is that you are in Germany, where the bonus track edition is issued. There is nothing on the UK edition that isn't on the German one so there is nothing restricted from you. I still can't access it here.

Try the situation the other way round - it is possible to access the compilation Keep Calm & Unwind in the UK, but I'm betting you won't be able to download it in Germany https://www.deezer.com/album/11045608

The song "Wings (Radio Edit)" doesn't work for me. The api says it is nowhere available. In case you can play the song on the deezer site,

Birdy's track is not playable (or downloadable) on the UK edition either - although it can be accessed here https://www.deezer.com/album/10731292

I'm living in a country which, although not let me play the album https://www.deezer.com/album/1288617, can download it with "deezer downloader".
