It works for me with hulu, but it takes some special procedure to download a whole movie.

That's wonderful that it works for you. Mind sharing with the rest of the class? Because there seems to be very few success stories with HuLu and especially HuLu Plus.

Usually when I'm downloading Hulu movies that are longer than 1 hour, the download stalls.
1 Once I verify that the download is not moving at all, on the download screen, I stop the download and then restart it manually. The disk churns as the download tries to recover from the last good download point. Usually, the recovery attempt fails and a flag is shown to the left of the download.
2 Then I go back to the browser window and reload the movie URL. That usually causes the download to restart after a couple of minutes of positioning to the last good download point. After this the download usually completes.
This procedure works pretty solidly for me for Hulu downloads. I don't know if it works for other sites.

In my settings. I have disabled Auto Convert and Auto Preview and enabled Auto Switch.

Due to the Auto Switch setting, after I reload the URL in step 2, the download screen usually displays as the download continues.
Viewing the Download screen, wait a bit and watch the Speed and Elapsed time start to change to verify that the download is positioning.
Eventually, when it continues to copy, the Percent and Completed will begin to increment again.

It used to be that Getflv would automatically recover from a stalled Hulu download, but I haven't seen it do that in many revisions.

So I just bought 1 year GetFLV pro and I am still not able to download HBOGo episode. I tried iPad mode but then the site tells me I should use ipad or android app to access it.

I even used free livestreamer and was able to download the episode but I cannot play it. Any ideas?

GetFLV 9.8.26.18 hard crash

 

GetFLV 9.82618 crashes when the cursor is outside (and mouse is clicked) when it is on full screen (on a dual monitor) in Chrome mode.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start program.
2. Switch to Chrome mode.
3. Go to youtube.com.
4. Download something.
5. Move the mouse outside (i.e. to another monitor), and click on an empty screen.
6. Program crashes

It does this also when the mouse is moved to another program that is running on the *same* screen (overlapping).

This bug existed a few versions ago. Otherwise if it's left on, the download completes without any problem (but the computer can't be used to do anything else.)

Since upgrading to version 9.8.35.18 I am getting the "This version of GetFLV can not work with latest flash" message coming up when GetFLV is started, but once you click ok, it works fine. I am using Win 8.1 PRO 64bit with all current updates installed.
For others, it is working fine for Hulu. (Do not have Hulu+)

Getflv 9 8 35 18 hard crash bug

 

I have Camtasia Studio and was able to record it (to a short video). The file got too big to be uploaded here even zipped, so it's at Youtube at this address.

An older version had this bug before and it was fixed but I think it came back somehow.

GetFLV is one of the programs that gets updated very often, and these people need to be paid properly for it. What you are asking for is unfair. I bought my copy legally and I use it without guilt.

Further testing found that 9.85518 (by moving the cursor off the window results in a hard crash) is still there, but only in Chrome mode.

IE seems to be okay.

Thanks a lot, I don't see the bug anymore.

Just a tiny bug in all versions of getflv, black font color does not show up for text watermark in the final output and even in the getflv

It working fine for me on the latest version. Please mention your flash version, software version and OS to make it easier for the developer.

Try unchecking 'Enable RTMP Record mode' at the top, it seems like record mode is broken

Also if you open task manager, the memory size keep on increasing for 'GetFLV.exe' even though the recording hangs some where around 0.5-2.5%. When I closed all the tabs in GetFLV, I could still hear video playing. (tried on Chrome and IE)

Crash while closing after trying to record. Normally don't happen if you do not record.

1) Black color font issue is fixed.
2) Memory is more stable now also GetFLV does not crash.


However, it still hangs around 0.5-5.5% (tried on IE and chrome) and opens bunch of random empty tabs in both chrome and IE.

GetFLV 9 8 78 18 seems to be pretty stable. Just installed. Didn't crash in IE mode when the cursor moved outside the window (to start a new program). Will test more tomorrow. Thank you so much!

Having problems downloading TVLAND videos.

They download in multiple parts (have to download each part separately) and they end up in different resolutions.

9 8 78 18 isn't crashing anymore when the cursor is moved off the window. However, it isn't downloading Crunchyroll subtitles.
