Re: Ripping RTMPE streams from RTE.ie

I tried AdobeHDS.php to get the 1024 kbps stream but I got the error shown below.
Is there any software that can download RTE.ie 1024 kbps HDS streams?

Code:

                            KSV Adobe HDS Downloader

Processing manifest info....
Quality Selection:
 Available: 1024 512
 Selected : 1024
This stream is encrypted with FlashAccess DRM. Decryption of such streams isn't currently possible with this script

I know this is an old thread so hope it's being watched by those in the know...

I just spent the most frustrating half-day of my 25 years with computers, first grabbing, downloading and installing a multitude of suggested apps to grab one little 2:44 RTE video with zero success - then the rest of the day removing all the adware and junk that those apps installed on my machine. I could weep, I think I should go get my blood pressure checked, etc etc. :(

Bottom line: if anyone knows how to do it, and can upload it to a sharing service or something along those lines, I would be so very grateful. It is a clip of the band Kíla busking in 1988: http://www.rte.ie/archives/exhibitio...-slogadh-1988/. As a last resort I used Debut to screen capture it, but the quality is nothing short of terrible - very jumpy and with really awful audio, I probably need a better video card, but for 2:44 of old video? Not an option.

Hope someone will take sympathy and either describe a working solution or just grab it for me.

best,
Mike.

Internet Download Manager (shareware) was able to get the flv link pretty easily, but AdobeHDS with HDS Link Detector works too.

Here's a link to the video: http://www47.zippyshare.com/v/7C3ge0Nw/file.html

Hi, folks. I'm trying to download an RTÉ Radio 'listen back' stream, but to no avail. Never had this much trouble with a stream before.

I have read some similar questions earlier in the thread, but the solutions haven't quite translated to this problem. Structure of links, etc. are slightly different.

Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here's everything I have so far:
Code:

JeanBaptist, You can use youtube-dl or ffmpeg.

Code:

ffmpeg -i "https://vodhls.rasset.ie/manifest/audio/2016/1022/20161022_rte2fm-davefanningshow-davefannin_cl10636470_10639564_261_/20161022_rte2fm-davefanningshow-davefannin_cl10636470_10639564_261_.mp4.m3u8" -c copy 20161022_rte2fm-davefanningshow-davefannin_cl10636470_10639564_261_.ts
You also can use rtmpdump with your link.

Thank you kindly, Sir. That has worked a treat. :)

How did you know to add these parts, experience? I scanned for .m3u8 files and couldn't find a thing.
Code:

"https://vodhls.rasset.ie/manifest/audio/2016/1022/20161022_rte2fm-davefanningshow-davefannin_cl10636470_10639564_261_/20161022_rte2fm-davefanningshow-davefannin_cl10636470

Ok, dude. Suit yourself. I'm asking you to share, and it's clear you'd rather not. You could just be straight about it.
