I'd recommend watching it in a browser to the end, then start recording as it loops around back to the start. That's what I did anyway.

Thanks - but that sorta defies one of the purposes of recording; to be able to watch it later :-)

I don't see how. You just have to hit the right time to start recording. Once you do that you can watch the resulting file any time you want.

Sorry, can't help there. I just started using this tool today and it worked fine for me (well, I did use the Debian one, not the Windows one, but as far as I can tell it's otherwise identical).

  2. I am going to try stopping the current stream - and then restart a new stream when the show 'loops' (seems I can't tell Yahoo live to play at the start) - is this the best way to do this?
  3. Is there a way to avoid the 'loop' process, and download the show/files directly off the server?
  4. I have a good internet connection and the show is being captured via live stream, and playback in web browser - however I noticed in the livestream capture box a time out occurred - (only one so far) and there was no interruption of the webbrowser play back stream is this normal?

  1. CTRL+C
  2. I guess. I just started using it today, and I've never been on Yahoo Live Nation before, so I'm not really too familiar with either.
  3. Don't really know.
  4. I haven't had any errors while capturing. I guess you'll have to check the resulting file for errors.

Could you share your recording please?

Sorry, I just paid a few hundred Euros a few months ago on a copyright issue, I'm not risking anything by sharing this.

Thanks for taking a stab - re: item 4 I will check - for reference here's what I'm seeing.

Hoping for 0 capture errors.

And as I was typing this, the playback stopped in my browser....hmmm

About to finish a complete loop - fyi, I didn't stop and start a new loop (yahoo seems repeat instantly) so hoping I can segment out the incomplete part of the first loop. If I have to pick part of the first loop and combine with the second - this could quickly become a pain.

funkwad, I wish you luck. These errors are a little worrying. As I said I didn't have a single one of those while capturing.
