New member, Am I in the right place?First let me state that I know nothing about computers, electronics etc. so this needs to be simple. I have sleep apnea and have done four sleep test, the first two I had done had terrible results, hardly any sleep at all. I had the surgery for it and use a cpap machine to breathe at night. The 2 sleep test I have had after that show that I am sleeping good. I don't believe that, I feel like I am flopping around all night and get very little sleep. Now to the real question. I want to record myself sleeping and see what is going on. I dont want to spend a lot of money for a one time thing. Can I use a web cam to do this? Picture quality is not important, but it needs to be a constant video, not the jerky stuff like on some streaming video. I would prefer that this goes to my vcr but could use computer if necessary. So, what do I need and how do I do it. Thanks in advance.

Re: New member, Am I in the right place?Hi
Absolutely you can do this - many webcams have a motion sensor that lets you record only when movement is detected. Or, if you don't mind - you can just let it run all night. Just make sure there is no 'max recording time' set up - and you should be good. You can get a decent webcam for $50 or so Good luck |

Re: New member, Am I in the right place?Afraid not - you would need to hook it up to a computer or laptop, but you can record it directly onto your PC as well
