Need ReplayMusic product for Mac or Vista

Since ReplayMusic is not likely to work with Vista, I'm looking for something that works with either Vista or OS/X. I'd like something that splits, and preferably tags as ReplayMusic did.

I can live without the tagging, but the splitting is important.

Replay Music is a very unique software. I haven't seen any alternatives for it. Other software require you to split songs manually. There is a free alternative for tagging songs, however it is much much worse than Replay Music.

Hopefully Replay Music for Windows Vista will be released very soon.

If I'm not mistaken a legal user of Windows Vista can legally install Win XP or 9x and use it for free. So you may install WinXP. You can make a separate installation or use it on a virtual machine like VMWare.

Of course there are audio stream rippers that can rip MP3 from shoutcast/icecast radio stations. Many of them can split and tag songs automatically. While ReplayMusic can record music from any web radio station, shoutcast rippers support shoutcast compatible radio stations only. But unlike ReplayMusic that records sound from your sound card, shoutcast rippers download (rip) music files from web radio stations.

iRadio is another radio ripper. It supports not only ShoutCast, but also Windows Media, Winamp Live 365 and QuickTime Darvin audio streams. It can save audio tracks to separate files with corresponding file names.

I've been researching recording options today and found the following:

No, it's limited to whatever the receiver can output, so just like any other Sirius radio, it records one channel at a time. But you can give it a list of artists or songs that you like (which you can add to all the time) and it will record only those artists or songs. You can also give it a list of artists you DON'T want it to record, and it won't record those. Then just click Record, let it sit overnight, and you'll have a directory of MP3's from only your selected artists.

But by far the greatest thing is that you can set it to not record anything less than say, one minute long - which means it doesn't record commercials!! So when it's on a talk station, it records the show, and skips the commercials!

for a PC I'm surprised noone suggested Timetrax. If anyone uses these please comment.

Replay Music 3 beta is available. It works with Windows Vista no matter what M$ expected from direct sound recording software.



It is a free update for Replay Music 2 so you don't have to wait for the final release of version 3!

Intel Mac users can run Replay Music on Windows with Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop for Max OS X.

This is an old thread, but Replay Music works in Windows Vista and Windows. I have no problems using Replay Music in Ubuntu 9.10 with Wine 1.0.1, so you should be able to use it in Mac OS as well.
