need to record old rtsp file

Hello, I have a link to a very old file that begins rtsp://rm.bbc.net.uk it opens in VLC but very badly. However it does open and run well in the real one player.

I've just tried Jaksta for mac as recommended on the downloader list but I cannot see any way that I can load the streaming address into it. I've looked everywhere for something that can enable me to download and save the file but I've had no luck yet.

Any suggestions?
