Re: Live PC streaming of my PC screen to my mobile phone via blue-tooth, Wi-Fi, USB?

It depends on a mobile phone that you have. If you can set up a network connection with your mobile phone (over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB,...) or can use Internet connection to access your desktop computer, then you can try the following:

If your smart phone uses Windows Mobile 6, you can use remote desktop access clients. Please note that such application shouldn't use web-based remote access. So you need something different from GoToMyPC, LogMeIn or RemotelyAnywhere.

Non web-based remote desktop access clients may use
  • RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol used to access Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/2003/2008 as well as Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X)
  • RFB (Remote FrameBuffer) used by VNC (Virtual Network Computing) clients
  • proprietary protocol

Although RDP has some drawbacks, it is available on many computers with Windows. VNC requires a VNC server installation, plus requires you to know which setting to use. Both protocols are good at handling bandwidth and have their pros and cons. VNC can handle bandwidth better than RDP if you set everything up properly.

Windows Mobile Remote Access clients
  • On Windows Mobile prior to Windows Mobile 6.0 RDP clients like Terminal Services Client (TSC) can be used, although they are pretty restricted.
  • In Windows Mobile 6, 6.1, 6.5 you can use Remote Desktop Mobile (previously called Terminal Services Client). Remote Desktop Mobile supports full screen, 16 bit high-color mode, (selectable) remote desktop-to-client sound transfer.
  • In Windows Mobile 6 you can also use Mocha Remote Client, although I prefer Remote Desktop Mobile.

RFB-based VNC clients:
  • Parys Technografx Pocket Office
  • Rocky Lo .NET VNC Viewer (Freeware)
  • Mocha VNC 1.1
  • Conduits VNC for Handheld PC Professional (Freeware) for ARM, MIPS, SH4
  • PocketPC VNCViewer (old)

More applications:
  • z2 Remote2PC
  • Symantec pcAnywhere
  • Netop Remote Control
  • Citrix ICA client
  • BitWeen S.R.L. Remote Control
  • Soft Agency Remote Desktop
