Live Capture from Video Camera to Macbook
Hi,
I need a set up that will allow me to video record a tennis player and have live capture on my laptop from the video camera. I need to be able to quickly edit the video on my laptop (i.e., slow down a swing at about 200 fps) and visually show the player what she/he needs to focus on during the next round of balls (e.g., contact point, eye on the ball, follow through, etc). This is all within a practice so if it requires buffering the video for editing it wouldn't be the right set up. Also, because wifi is not reliable it is not an option either. Needs to be hardwired.
I have a Sony HDR-AS15 and a Macbook Pro (with a firewire slot) and the only video software I have is iMovie. I can’t afford a new laptop but I can exchange the camera out if need be.
Any ideas on a camera or necessary converters/cables?
