HELP: SoundTaxi Audio Skip problems

Hi,

Recently I purchased Soundtaxi Pro so I can convert iTunes locked music and sync onto my mp3 player. Well, I thought every was all fine until I decided to play the converted file and noticed there were skips and yes they are noticeable. SoundTaxi let's you play the original and the converted file, I played them both and the original files doesn't have any skips, I was extremely annoyed when I found this out. The skips usually happen around the 10 second mark, and a few more around 20.

The question is if I'm doing anything wrong, could it possible be that I'm converting them to 320kbs? I've tried converting them to 220, and still the same thing...

What kind of files are you converting?
What is you CPU usage during conversion?
Please open your Windows Task Manager and check CPU usage level during conversion.

Please close all unnecessary applications on your PC and start the conversion again.

Please let me know the results

Best regards,
Natalie

Re: HELP: SoundTaxi Audio Skip problems

I got the same response from Soundtaxi tech support.

My computer is 2.4GHZ, 1.2G of RAM.....running NO OTHER APPLICATIONS....and I get the same skipping! I have soundtaxi PRO, too! I am a PAYING CUSTOMER!

Soundtaxi SUCKS!

It has RUINED hundreds upon hundreds of audio tracks!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD or PAY FOR Soundtaxi!!!!

To top it off - it never ever did convert 16 tracks simultaneously (as advertised)

I wish i had read this before paying that much money to buy it. for me it has skips in the tracks and also 10 seconds of silence at the end of each track.

Soundtaxi is a painful software, even worse is aimersoft media converter. hope someone comes up with a better software.

Nobody answered onto the questions Soundtaxi support asked. I wonder whether the software doesn't work, because lots of people buy it. I don't want to recommend software that doesn't work for many users.

And I always recommend to try software before buying it.

This is a standard email from soundtaxi support. no matter what you type in the support email, this response is generated automatically, i think. so, should anyone bother answering those questions?
