HOWTO insert video keying on the fly in streaming videos

Hi
I would to insert (on the fly) viewer information inside the streaming video as video keying.
At this time the only way to have this feature is to duplicate the video source for all the subscribed viewers before it is delivered which can cause heavy server activity and big disk space.
I am looking for a streaming server solution that could do the job on the fly by simply mixing the original video source with the viewer profile as video keying (like "This video is dedicated to M.Smith")
Can anyone help ?

Freeware open source WebCamStudio (GNU/Linux) allows to create a virtual web-cam, that can be used:

to broadcast (stream) your desktop (with your webcam)
as a virtual web-cam (useful when your web cam is not supported by flash on a web-site)
to add video effect to your web-cam

WebcamStudio is compatible with Flash sites.

When you use a web-site that allows to broadcast live videos (like UStream, LiveStream) select the "vloopback module" option.

Streaming server/client software needed for main office to branches multimedia stream

Hi everyone,

This is my firs post. I will start right with the problem: I need multimedia solution for my company. We have several branches all over the country, each branch have 4-6 LCD displays on which we play commercials, daly promotions and music. The signal comes a from local PC with TV out. What I need is to centralize all that stuff. What I mean is, I have to implement a multimedia streaming server in the main office, and a audio/video client in each branch. There are many streaming servers out there but it's hard, because I need:

- Every branch have different daily promotions and commercials, so I'll have to create separate accounts and programs.
- Sometimes the connection drops, so the player should have a huge buffer (about 30 min.)
- The audio/video stream should be programable (e.g. play commercial_1.avi every round hour, play promotion_5.avi every 45-th minute of the hour, play Rock Music folder 30 min., then Pop Music folder for 10 min., and so on...)
- The streams have to be locked to a specific IP address, so that n.o. else is able to connect to the server.
- During the music playback, a video with the company logo should appear on the screens (so the server should support different audio and video sources)

All that sounds pretty much like satellite radio, but we can't use satellite radio in our region. Can someone help me find the right software for the task. The platform should be Windows or Linux (no Macs). It doesn't matter if the software is freeware or paid. Thanks to all willing to help :)

I my effort to get my tracks played on Widgets I am learning that I have to convert my mp3 files to streaming HTTP. I have tried pasting in the embed code of a jukebox - that did not work. There is alot of dicussion here on how to convert stream files - now I want things the other way around. Please tell me.

hi everyone i'm trying to build a web page where people can choose to listen to some famous webradios.. i have to put the rtmp url in the streamer var of the script i'm using (livestreamer), but with the sniffer software i'm using i can only find the http url.. what's the link/difference between rtmp and http web radio url!?!?why can i only find http url and not rtmp!?!?thanks martin

Windows 2003 Media Server: How to maintain two speeds for client

I am using Windows 2003 Media Server. It is working correctly. we are giving internet connection 128kbps speed. In that streaming server will taking buffering. How to maintain two separate speeds for client. Media server will take 3Mbps but net connection is 128kbps. Mikrotik will block the Streaming download.

We did not understand what we have to do.....
