 eurovisionsports?Hi this one is puzzling me, I can't seem to determine exactly whats going on here:
http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/londo...?video_id=7864 I can't seem to detect any RTMP traffic and it's apparently not AdobeHDS or AppleHLS... so I did a search for .xml pages and came up with this: http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/londo...london2012.xml so it looks like it's a .smil broadcast which I'm not familiar with... I downloaded one of the .smil files and ran it through a hex editor which revealed an Akamai server amongst other stuff (and seems to have XML data embedded in it): <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE smil PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD SMIL 2.0//EN" "http://www.w3.org/2001/SMIL20/SMIL20.dtd"> <smil xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/SMIL20/Language"> <head> <meta name="title" content="EBU-UER HD Flash Stream" /> <meta name="httpBase" content="http://culture-f.akamaihd.net/" /> </head> <body> <switch id="EBU-UER HD Flash Stream"> <video src="d19m01_1_700@s73516?primaryToken=1350500780_6 3fcde4d75e07abf1d34aa56f1dcd6c1" system-bitrate="700000"/> </switch> </body> </smil> so any ideas on how to deal with this? cheers.

Re: eurovisionsports?Alright thanks, I tried the above with wget... but it downloads a few seconds worth and then stops (1.49mb of video). VideoDownload Helper FF extension does the same.

Re: eurovisionsports?I found the video cached in \local settings\temp folder as revealed by Video Cache Viewer (the guy deserves a hero's medal for all the utilities he's come up with). You can clearly the filesize increase as the video caches. Trouble is I can't copy the thing it's locked by Plugin Container (flash player), unlock it and it's instantly deleted.... Video Cache Viewer's copy function only copies the first 25mb of it (it was up to 350mb+ in the cache)

Re: eurovisionsports?Thats great, thanks! One last question, how do you get VLC player to open the URL at 00:49? It refuses to do so for me (I can't read any of the cyrillic, sorry)
I only get a download link offered from the browser, it's not really a problem as it does actually download the data, minus any kind of file extension, but still...
