I tried Replay Media Catcher because it downloads YouTube videos for FREE.

I was able to download MP4 file music video Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" with Replay Media Catcher. And its quality is much better than the Lower quality video at YouTube. But I had to rename the video manually. Don't really know why renaming didn't work here.

p.s. But Higher Quality videos at YouTube are not that great. Buy a DVD video if you really like it

You can also get the Higher Quality Video with freeware DownloadHelper plug-in for Firefox. I just think that Replay Media Catcher is the best way to record youtube videos for FREE.
