Does Amazon ship to south america?

Does Amazon USA ship to south america? I will be moving to Peru, Lima in a couple of months. I was wondering if I purchase something from Amazon USA, that it will show up. Or is Peru one of the countries Amazon USA can't ship to?

I know that i will next to pay extra for shipping outside the US. If they can deliver will i need to arrange it so another company brings it to my doorstep, or do i need to go somewhere?
