Converting .FLV files to .AVI, .MPG: audio and video sync problem

Hello,

I have some FLV files that I've been trying to convert to avi or mpg using both Total Video Converter and SUPER. They convert OK, EXCEPT I can't get the AUDIO and VIDEO to sync.

I've tried matching the fps rate for the input file to the output file.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Try Converting .FLV files to .AVI, .MPG with other FLV converters

Please try other .FLV to .AVI, .MPG converters.

In my experiece Moyea Flv to Video Converter is the most reliable FLV converter. I also like WM Converter and Cucusoft Ultimate Video Converter.

Thank you so much for writing. I have tried Moyea, too, and get the same delay between video/audio.

Sorry, but don't really know a lot about audio/video sync.

You may try to ask the support staff of the converter you like the most. I doubt that you may get any decent support for a free program, but who knows.

I use AVS Video Converter and Replay Converter. Both can convert FLV files and both support teams always were ready to help.
As for other software vendors, I had lots of problems with some chinese ones. Duno whether it is a language barrier or something else.

Re: Converting .FLV files to .AVI, .MPG: audio and video sync problem

Hooray!

I did it! Got the video/audio to sync in an AVI file!

I followed the instructions on this web page:
http://www.digital-digest.com/articl...ide_page1.html

and used the following programs:

* FLV Extract
* ffdshow
* VirtualDubMod

It seems confusing at first, but once I did it one time, it was very quick and easy.

It didn't work at first, same problem as in the other programs... video about 15 seconds ahead of audio.

Prior to trying this I wrote down all the source info for my video that is nicely available from SUPER (fps, bitrate, etc) and tried to match that info in the converter programs (SUPER, total video converter, Riva) without success.

I did get Geovid to work (to sync the audio/video properly), using the ffdshow codec, but I was trying to avoid buying a program if possible.

What finally worked for me was following the instructions on the website above, then prior to saving the file in VirtualDub, I changed the frame rate to 15 fps (which was the listed fps rate of the video I have)... VirtualDub's default is 18.780. That one small change made it work!

Thank you so much for your support and advice, it is greatly appreciated.

You may install K-Lite Mega Codec pack if you have problems with codecs.

Admin: Post identified as an ad. Make sure you test the trial version before buying.

i wonder your problem has been solved or not. you can try xilisoft video converter which is most powerful video conversion software.

here is great news for those who love videos downloaded from youtube.com.

xilisoft has recently released YouTube Video Converter to download videos from YouTube.com and convert YouTube videos to other video formats.

i just tried and it is unbelievable!
