Re: How to convert FLV videos from Hulu and other web-sites

I use a program called FLVExtract which extracts the video and audio streams directly from the downloaded FLV file.
Hulu uses FLV as a container for h264 (video) with AAC (audio) in a FLV. (it might use other formats like mp3 for 360p video)
Then I use YAMB with MP4Box to repack it into a MP4 file.

No "conversion" necessary and it's a lot faster.

I'm using TuneBite universal converter, it converts flash videos from any websites, but let me disagree with you, Hulu doesn't support flash videos, its files are encrypted, rtmp-e files, not flv.

Anyway, Tunebite can convert both flv and rtmp-e and any formats you need, I use it a lot to convert flv to mp4 or to mp3, very good quality.

You are wrong about everything here:

1. TuneBite can't not convert Hulu videos, since it just records Hulu and other RTMPE videos from screen. Any screen recorder can do that.

2. TuneBite can't be even close to the lossless conversion method described above, since FLV Extract + Yamb offer LOSSLESS and FAST conversion, while Tunebite conversion is lossy and slow.

3. RTMPE is a protocol. It allows to transfer flash videos (.FLV and .MP4). It really uses encryption, but this doesn't mean that RTMPE streams can't be downloaded only because Tunebite can't download them. See the following thread for more:
RTMPE stream recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

Ashanti, stop trolling and confusing the members of the forums!
