capturing BBC Olympic catch-up videos?hi,
I am attempting to capture the following http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/...ncing/20120728 using wm recoder, which is normally great for capturing stuff from the BBC iplayer. however, i am struggling to capture any of the Olympics catch-up videos and getting the following, see attached. Any ideas on how i can capture this data or what tools to use? thanks!! |

Re: capturing BBC Olympic catch-up videos?Good Q .
I haven't tried WM recorder so d/k what the issue is with that, but those BBC streams are v difficult. Tried net transport and got a load of fragmented files, orbit but that couldn't find the stream, RTMPexploreX but that didn't seem to do anything. Only thing I can think to do is record the video off the screen (so not capturing the stream) but the results aren't too great tbh. |

Re: capturing BBC Olympic catch-up videos?I think BBC are using HDS streaming for all Olympics videos, hence each video is broken down into multiple fragments (f4f files) which you can extract from IE's cache (e.g. by using Video Cache View). I have been trying to figure out how to join them and the only possibility I have found is KSV's php script. Unfortunately, I know nothing about php, scripts, etc. and can't understand how to get it running to combine f4f files.
Here's the thread http://stream-recorder.com/forum/ado...er-t12074.html And here's the script https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/ If you manage to combine your files, I'd appreciate some guidance |
