Here are the useful shortcuts:
- Take a screenshot of the screen: Command-Shift-3:

The screenshot will be saved as a file on the desktop, and you can press down control as well as the relative

Use Grab to capture screen:
- Open Grab, got to Capture from the menu bar and choose Selection, Window, Screen or Timed Screen.
- Select the window you want to capture or drag the pointer across the area and then release the mouse button.
- The file automatically shows up in Grab and prompts you to save it.
