Can you make mp3s from internet streaming radio (windows media player)?

I was listening to internet radio with windows media player and it had a "burn the now playing option" but when it clicked it, it said I do not have the rights to do that.

Are there a player for internet radio that will let me burn to audio CD or even better make mp3s? Are they windows programs or would something this cool only exist for linux?

thanks

Replay Music is my favourite for copying anything that comes over the pc speakers. It will also auto-tag and auto-split tracks and save them as mp3 or Audio cd tracks to the folder of your choice.

Replay Music (Windows) records from your sound card, so it can record from any radio station or online music service. Please note that it can't split songs when they are overlapped. However since in most cases there is a pause between songs, the program works just fine.

Replay Music is compatible with Windows. But you can use it in Linux with WINE as well:
How to install and run Replay Music in Linux (like Ubuntu 9.10)

If you don't want to record from your sound card, you can use audio stream rippers and streaming video recorders. Such programs work with limited number of formats and protocols only, but don't lose any quality while recording.
