Can they catch you if your record streaming video?

i was just wondering... like when you watch animes/drama/shows on youtube, its called streaming right? but everyone knows youtube so you dont get any penalty from that site.

So i was wondering, if you record from another site.. stuff like videos (korean dramas) and all, do you get caught? do you go to jail? o.o?

Risks to Recording...? Can I be detected and sued for capturing streaming lectures?
