Re: How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to diskTry to use freeware DVDFlick. Although I prefer to use network media players instead of wasting time onto burning DVDs.

Re: How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to diskI have recorded the programme I want to make a DVD of, using Hypercam. This has produced a Microsoft Video AVI file. When I try to process this in DVD Flick it tells me the file has no usable video track. The file does play. Any ideas please?

Re: How to burn a Channel 4 on demand programme to diskIf you use screen video capture software, then it is better to record using MPEG-2 video codec. Then the video should be remuxed into DVD-Video without any conversion.
MPEG-2 is used by DVD-Video discs. And it is a good video codec for recording. It doesn't require much resources of your PC and gives nice quality. The files might be pretty large, but this is not that important when you want to create DVD discs. See the following thread for more: How to convert MPEG-2 .MPEG videos to DVD-Video with menu, without quality loss? |
