Can't sort this one and it has worked before!!!
I have networked my CCTV cameras and Avtech KPD675 DVR via my Belkin 45G router and opened up Port 80 - the live video works on my desktop (which is Windows XP and has wired connection to my LAN) and it works via internet explorer/ dyndns remotely from site. You would think all ok? Not so!
When I use my laptop in the LAN (windows 7 with wireless connection to router) I get "login" failed message on IE8 and client software. My laptop works fine on IE8 to the internet.
I thought it might be my firewall or anti-virus (which is different on my laptop to my desktop) so I temporarily disabled both to try it - no luck!
It seems to fail at the login stage - I do get the DVR login page on IE8 but it fails. If I use the client software, I notice adjacent to the DVR ip address bar that there seems to be a DVR icon with a green check or cross on it which I think indicates something wrong. If I ping the DVR's ip address from my laptop it returns ok as well! I have checked the ActiveX settings and think they are ok but when trying to login i don't even get to the bit where ActiveX downloads. Strange how it is fine on my desktop on the same LAN but wired and even ok remotely!!!! HELP!!!!!
