I certainly do appreciate the education you are providing. I'm a real music fan; I play piano myself, and I have built quite a library of WAV and mp3 files to listen across a wide range of genres. Internet radio has opened seemingly a whole new world of music to enjoy. Occasionally recording it allows me to screen which artists and titles I really like, and I often acquire albums in order to enjoy them more.

I appreciate the kind offer of assistance in suggesting software for capturing non-Shoutcast streams. I generally use Winamp as my player (since it does such a nice job of organizing and playing my own in-house collection). But I also sometimes use other players like XMPlay or MusikCube. And, as you suggested, I downloaded URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) a week or so ago, and have started to learn how to identify stream URLs.

One particular source I would like to access is SkyJazz, which apparently streams several programs in RealAudio. It is located at http://www.skyjazz.com/ I don't have a RealAudio player on my computer, not even a plugin for Winamp. Apparently there is such a plugin, but I don't know anything about RealAudio, so I've got more to learn.

Thanks again for all the kind assistance. I enjoy exploring, but it's even more fun with a bit of help!

Freeware URL Snooper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/Project-URL-Snooper-Find-the-actual-stream-URL-Free-download.htm) can easily find http:// .ra URLs from skyjazz.com
You can download these .RA files even with your browser. Or you can use any download manager (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/download-managers-with-streaming-media-downloading-support.htm).

But to find these stream URLs with URL Snooper, you need to play them in the embedded real player. Instead of Real Player, you may try to use freeware Real Alternative.

As for the players, I really liked winamp, but I prefer to use AIMP or Foobar, because they are also free, but provide better music quality and interface.
