We had several spam posts in our forum, so this is not a rumor. I also suggest not to support spammers and use their software, especially when there are so many alternatives that offer really good quality and support.

i have use Pavtube DVD Ripper and it doesn't work very well. I found a really great free alternative for it and it is much much better.

Anyway by purchasing software from spammers you encourage more spam from them. There are so many audio/video converter (http://all-streaming-media.com/convert-audio-video-files/) out there that work just fine, that there is no sense to buy anything from Pavtube and other spammers.
