I used fiddler to get the URL that the mobile site uses to get the models JSON and when I pasted into a browser (chrome) I got a 404...

How long are you waiting to put the URL in your browser? I believe the link expires after 1 min or so (not entirely sure) but I just tested it 2 times and it worked for me with Chrome and Firefox. I went to the mobile site and clicked refresh then when I saw the json URL I copied and paste into Chrome and Firefox. It definitely shows up (models list etc etc). I waited maybe 1min after that and tried to paste the same link again but it was expired (404).

You can get multiples of message 81 (if I remember correctly) which contains the respkey for the URL. Only the first one will be valid. Why this happens, I don't know, it sometimes happens if you use MFC in the browser, as well, verified via Wireshark.

Is it possible for any of these recorders to put the model status in a txt file?

I was using something called MfcChecker. I got it from this forum a couple of years ago. All it did was check for models in a watchlist.txt and then give their status i.e. Offline, Online, Group....

I used it to notify me when a particular model went to group so I didn't have to sit through hours of nothing in public. MfcChecker stopped working a week or two ago. I can look through the code and see where the issue is, but I have no idea what it's doing or how to fix it. It's doing a loop to generate a file no, but now it returns nothing.

Just wondering if I could get something else to do the same thing. Or maybe someone knows how to fix it? I don't think the original author posts on this fourm anymore, but this is where I got it.

the main problem is, that mfc changed their handshake protocol, which was used for several tools (mfcchecker, mfcdump, etc ... )

afair elegro was one of the developers but his inbox is full - and i don´t have the source files of his nice tool to fix - extend the protocol

Is there any chance of making your program record Chaturbate as well? I only ask because the developer of MFCRecorder talked about doing just that before he disappeared.

Only problem is that I cant read anything. I need to use magnifier, all letters are super small. Maybe its , because my native screen resolution is 3200x1800. I dont want to change native resolution, I just need to make camgirlzREC 1.0 readable.

Oh, hey! I tried out the tool and it worked terrifically!

A few requests, if you're open to them?

1. make it possible to use the software for chaturbate. com
2. make it possible to toggle the cam-preview on or off
3. make it more clear that a model is currently being recorded

Even so, this is great and like the earlier poster said, stands out as being particularly good given how easy it is to use and setup!

1) Model names instead of IDs in the Record List
2) The ability to enable/disable recording of the models in that list without removing them from the list
3) An indicator on that list when a model is being recorded

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for the awesome tool camgirlzREC!

The functions are excellent, keep them. I just wanted to ask you to add some more:

*display the age and country of models.

*in the naming of recording folders for each model, add the ID to name, example: 12345678 - Name. I suggest this because is the easiest way to find repeated models that constantly change the name (the ID don't change).

It depends on the model's settings. They can choose the streaming resolution 800x600, 640x480 or 320x240. (depending on webcam-type, internet bandwidth, etc.)

Mobile feeds is equal to HD.
When a model broadcasts in HD, she will have mobile feed, capable of being viewed on mobile devices. m.myfree.....

On the old MFC recorder they were shown as Away, while they were streaming non HD.

You can easily re-mux (without transcoding) the TS file to a MP4 file with FFmpeg.

ffmpeg -i input.ts -acodec copy -bsf:a aac_adtstoasc -vcodec copy output.mp4

The new MP4 file can be played in VLC smoothly.

Are you shure that this command will only work with the older FFmpeg version? Or is there also a solution for the new version?

This line does not work with newer versions of ffmpeg because they simply do not support this codec.
There may be some way for last version of ffmpeg but I did not work much on it.

I agree. Is there any method or configuration, that I have not yet found, able to change the folder's name to "ID - ModelName" format?
I would like this format for two reasons:
1. If you have any problem with your model's list, you can re-add the IDs using the folder names.
2. It's easier to find repeated models, because the ID never changes, unlike ModelName (also useful if your favourite model changes constantly her ModelName).

For my taste I would just add existing data: Ethnicity, Age, City and Country. I know this information is on: http://profiles.myfreecams.com/MODELNAME But I also know that these data were available along with other data before the last MFC updates with this url:

I'm at home now and will start working on my little app. I'm gonna have a better look at the script posted to see if i can find a faster way for doing this.

Just to be clear:
I pulled ALL the data I could find because I thought that's what mfmax and horacio were looking for. I personally made my own "mfc recorder" last week, but because it was supposed to run 24/7 on a NAS, there was no need for a gui and pulling anything aside from name, uid, camserv and vs. If you only want data that's "relevant", I totally agree that my OnlineModels app is currently displaying way too much unnecessary stuff. I can change that easily, would just have to know what people would actually like to have it output and what could be discarded.

UPDATE:
I got this to "work", but am not very happy with the result, so I'll keep looking.
It has reduced the time per model to ~250ms from ~350ms. That's an improvement but still a far cry from refreshing within the matter of seconds.

I'm guessing that it would just take too long to get all the data, since nobody(?) has found a way yet to speed this process up fast enough. As i said before, it could be accomplished by using a cache and loading the additional info when the app is already running. It's just a question if it's even worth the effort, because most people won't use the recorder app to find new models anyways but rather browse the website and then add models by name or id, please correct me if I'm wrong, but at least that's how I would do it.

It seems like the latest MFC update did also affect this script.
For now, i will make the download of additional data optional via command line argument and handle it on a per model basis. IMHO the information you get from the standard query should be enough for 99% of use cases, and the people who NEED that extra data, should be okay with having to wait 5-10 minutes for it to be downloaded. (like I mentioned, caching this data and only pulling it for newly signed in models should give you refresh times of ~5 seconds while having this extra bit of information)

There are two versions of the script, the "master" version was affected by recents changes, however "v2" version (can be found in releases) uses MFCAuto package which returns "extended" data.

I don't know to much about MFCAuto, but in my opinion it extract basic data then collect additional data by monitoring changes and adding them to the list of the models (but this is slow process).

I updated my Nodejs script using MFCAuto to get the data i needed for MFCer and now that is only 50 lines of code. Did run into an issue though due to my lack of nodeJS/Javascript knowledge ;) so had to alter one of the source files of MFCAuto instead of calling the external function to change the logging level.

When you bring out v0.3, I'll get OnlineModels working ok with MFCer too as it just reads in text data in a certain format.


I'm going to work on a few more features for MFCer I think. Thought of monitoring the topic for the countdown of the model event then start the recording when it gets to your entered value. Still plan to get it so you can control some program features remotely.

I managed to find a solution for the new ffmpeg version and new line is:

ffmpeg -i (url) -c:v copy -c:a aac -b:a 160k (path + filename)

You can freely substitute 'ts' with 'flv' extension :)

I opened about 10 models with "No Mobile Feed" in the browser (to use the Flash) and non of them were broadcasting. So the question, are they really broadcasting with the "older standard video settings" or not? How can we watch that streams? Can anyone give me a name of the model who uses only the "older standard video"?

I already wrote something about "No Mobile Feed" models. It seems that I first discovered that "No Mobile Feed" models have camserver less than 840 (camserver < 839) so I applied it in my the first mfc python script so that as I see it became standard now.
We Can't make a list of "No Mobile Feed" models because I've noticed that some models can be in both groups even in the same day!
We can see preview jpg of "No Mobile Feed" with 'http://img.mfcimg.com/livesnap320/?user=(100000000 + model.uid)'
That models can be recorded with RTMPDumpHelper with rtmpsuck.exe but not with standard rtmpdump.exe!
Perhaps our member @edge can make rtmpdump that could record "No Mobile Feed" because he has experience in past.
"No Mobile Feed" usually have video resolution 320x240, url is 'http://myfreecams.com/#Model_Name and rtmp url is like
rtmp://video338.myfreecams.com/NxServer/mfc_123151165 . Server number for other is camserver - 500 but for "No Mobile Feed" I can not find a similar rule. There are other programs like Tubedigger and Jaksta Media Recorder that can record "No Mobile Feed". I will try to animate the Streamlink team around it ;)

I already wrote something about "No Mobile Feed" models. It seems that I first discovered that "No Mobile Feed" models have camserver less than 840 (camserver < 839) so I applied it in my the first mfc python script so that as I see it became standard now.
We Can't make a list of "No Mobile Feed" models because I've noticed that some models can be in both groups even in the same day!
We can see preview jpg of "No Mobile Feed" with 'http://img.mfcimg.com/livesnap320/?user=(100000000 + model.uid)'
That models can be recorded with RTMPDumpHelper with rtmpsuck.exe but not with standard rtmpdump.exe!
Perhaps our member @edge can make rtmpdump that could record "No Mobile Feed" because he has experience in past.
"No Mobile Feed" usually have video resolution 320x240, url is 'http://myfreecams.com/#Model_Name and rtmp url is like
rtmp://video338.myfreecams.com/NxServer/mfc_123151165 . Server number for other is camserver - 500 but for "No Mobile Feed" I can not find a similar rule. There are other programs like Tubedigger and Jaksta Media Recorder that can record "No Mobile Feed". I will try to animate the Streamlink team around it ;)

The app stuck during this time, but worked after that flawlessly again!:)

Question: Is it possible to have a model on the 'Add' list and still decide when to record her, manually? For instance some models that i watch can take a long time before they get naked, fapping, etc. I see that as a waste of HDD space and bandwidth.
I've tried stopping the rec when i see that nothing is happening, but the rec starts again on the next update. Only way to stop it that I see is to remove said model from the 'Add' list. Is there a way i can stop and start a model selectively but still have her on my Add list?

I'm usually paying attention to what models i want to rec anyway, so i can see when they start actually getting to a show. Obviously if i was away from my PC i'd just let it rec everything, but when i'm present it's seems like a waste.

If it's not possible, would it be possible to implement a feature like that in future versions?

Or maybe like a permanent side-list of all the models I'm 'interested in', but aren't necessarily in the 'Add to Record' list. It would just be there for convenience to find my fav models to put into the 'Add' list faster and easier when I decide to.

^I hope i'm explaining that right. lol

I am sure that most of you know how to get your own privates but what about the other privates ? MFC is keeping most of the private shows at their server keeping them accessible for the member that took the model into private so the videos are somewhere "there" but others can't even see them existing.

Go to you ffmpeg folder in file explorer, and in view options disable file name extensions.

Not trying to usurp the current crop of recording tools, but I recently started looking at some cam sites again (summer vacation time yay) and began putting together a tool, mostly for my own amusement.

Not ready for public consumption yet, but I could use a bunch of testers, preferably on different Windows platforms (sorry, no OS X or Linux versions as of now). Supported sites are MFC, CB, SR and LJ with a plugin format to easily add more/new sites.

Most people including me do not have a permanent IP address :)
For MFC, I do not know exactly which blocking method is used. In any case, after your test should be done and we will then be smarter.

To my knowledge MFC will ban by username AND IP. So if you enter a models room with a banned user A from IP X and then sign in with a different user B and enter her room using the same IP X, user B will also be banned automatically. Using a VPN helps...

As i know, mfc bannes the username and does something with your cookies. Simply open another browser and continue viewing the model as a guest.

Was using mfc node the last few weeks, but started getting server timeout errors. On the mfc node page others seems to be having the same problem.

Switched to camgirlzREC and like it. But last night the models cam went out for a few seconds, checking the recording later it messed up at the point her cam went out. With mfc node, if that happened the recording would stop and another would start once her cam came back up. CamgirlzREC didn't restart, is is supposed too once the cam comes back up?

Yes it is (the last version posted on a few post back), but you should edit the main.js since is not yet updated with the new format so that he web page for control won't be messed up.

The m3u8 works great with media player classic from k-codec pack, it uses much less CPU than VLC (both using software decoding).

If any one of you wants it, you need to replace the files on your MFC node installation with the ones from this zip.

LOL, that random model was for debug, I will edit my post with a correct version, you could delete that print line.
I had an old mfc node that reported what models were recording, and the new node have it only in debug mode, I change it back, my main.js is not even based on the new one in https://github.com/sstativa/mfc-node I just copied the updates from that github (chat servers).

Maybe they found that with those ffmpeg parameters it could be more stable or something, don't know, my old main.js just have:

EDIT: "-c copy" forces to copy the stream without re encode, it should ignore "-b:v 500k"

I know that MFC uses 2 streams when models are streaming at 640x480 or higher, one the original the other a low quality 320x240.

This change can be seem on a mobile device that supports multi bandwidth stream. This can be seem many times when you start loading a high quality stream and then a low quality kicks in and it can jump from one to other... Very infuriating actually that most mobile browser doesn't give you the option to force a high quality bitrate.

There was a complain that a new version of ffmpeg does not select the best stream from the playlist and by adding these parameters we kind of trick it to select the HD stream. Personally, I did not have any issues with or without this parameters using the old version of ffmpeg and have no issues now using latest ffmpeg with these params.

I've been recording some models in flv and ts simultaneously for a while, so far, I had only two cases when ts version had the lower resolution than flv one. So I'll say ffmpeg does a pretty good job in selecting HD stream, however, I cannot confirm that this is because of
these parameters, I only can say: It works, so why bother?

It's ordered by viewers by default, since for me it's the most important . Camscore means nothing.
The m3u8 works great with media player classic from k-codec pack, it uses much less CPU than VLC (both using software decoding).

If any one of you wants it, you need to replace the files on your MFC node installation with the ones from this zip.
Any of you are free to include it on the MFC node project if you want it.

All you have written is true. Why do I prefer FLV? The answer for me is simple.
Let's be the real most streams are recorded with the rtmpdump that shoots mostly in FLV format.
Sometimes there was no good support for the processing of FLV files but today the situation is excellent.
So if I need to make some of my own ranking list then it is first FLV, on the second place is MP4, and the third is TS format.
In addition, for example, the TS file recorded by CamgirlzREC can not be edited immediately while the FLV file does not have these problems.
FFMPEG can record the same source in various formats depending on the code we specify in the line.
I prefer this line:

ffmpeg -i (url) -c:v copy -c:a aac -b:a 160k (path + filename)

... but if you don't like FLV and need some other format you can exchange that line in main.js
This is impossible to do for example for CamgirlzREC because the author of the program doesn't want to show his source code.

m3u8 link only seems to work in Internet Explorer or older versions of Firefox, the link option is for mobile devices.

I have tried to create an universal option to download the m3u8 playlist, but the examples I found were not universal. I might give another try...

It keeps running, but some data has changed or disappeared.

The timeout error is due to the fact that the xchat server is randomly selected from a pre-defined list and not from the working ones.
The working servers can be obtained from the page at http: //m.myfreecams.com/configproxy.php

xchat server is randomly selected exactly from that list of servers. Initially that list was hardcoded in the script, then some of servers were removed because of complains, so currently, the list in the script is a bit shorter in comparison to the list from configproxy.php, but I'm absolutely sure it has no "broken" servers.

Based on my observation, I'll say that Timeout Error can be thrown for any server from the list, but it does not mean the server is broken, it might work fine in a next couple minutes.
May be this happens because we "abuse" servers with our scripts.

So far, the best way to deal with this will be if we select some server randomly as start and use it until it fails, then randomly select another one, instead of randomly selecting the server on each iteration.

I just started using this and have it working properly. I noticed all the recordings go to 1 folder. is there a way to set it so each model has their own folder with their recorded files in it? Is there something I can put in the catureDirectory to do this?

I'm glad it's all OK. People usually only write if they have a some problem, and at one point I thought that only for me everything working OK ;)
My philosophy is not to make complicated and large scripts if there is no real need for it. That's why I have reduced 2 directories to 1 and that 1 must be make manually.
I just answered at 1 PM where that was problem :) I do not think it's a big problem to move files taken from the same model manually to a specific directory if so must it be ;)

The timeout error means that the node did not update (models list), it will update in the next refresh. The recording should still be recording.

On this new version the "Link" for mobile forces high quality stream.
The "Link" is not meant for desktop.

It should open a new tab (you have to disable popups) and open the video in the browser or give you the option to open it using an external player.

If you have the firewall open for node, you should be able to access the MFC node page on you mobile device (have to be using wireless from the same network) using the IP of the PC (instead of using 127.0.0.1 or localhost) and port 9080.

If you connect a mouse to your mobile device it should also update the snap shots the same way.

This was all tested on an Android phone.

From @ZeChico I took the 'menu' with thumbnail so it's now possible to know what's going on in the room and without other methods. Many thanks @ZeChico ;)

- When you click on a thumbnail (yellow), a menu appears and you can add this model to your favorites to recording immediately, and you can also stop recording immediately.

- When you click on model name (green) you get the full size picture across the entire browser page.

- When you click on 'State/Online'(blue) you can enter in the model room on new browser page.

- When you click on 'Mob./true'(red) you can view stream on new Chrome browser page if you have 'Native HLS Playback' add-on (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/native-hls-playback/emnphkkblegpebimobpbekeedfgemhof) installed.
At the end of the browser URL behind m3u8? I've put a model name that can be useful if at some point you want to start recording to know model name ;)

The last column is 'tags'. Previously it was 'topic' but I think 'tags' are more useful if you want to quickly find F3 with certain model categories ;)

You must http://localhost:9080/ put in your browser taskbar bookmark. I recommend Chrome browser.
When node window is active than you can click that mfc bookmark icon and mfc page will be loaded.
Before that I recommend for replace main.js and index.html with fresh one from https://codeload.github.com/horacio9a/mfc-node/zip/master
Read README.md again with some new instructions about plugin etc.

- Changed names of some columns to be more compact
- Hard coded option for big snap images:
Edit index.html, in the top change var snapsize = 'small'; to var snapsize = 'big';
This requires 4x more bandwidth.
I'm not going to support bigger snap images because of the higher load on MFC servers, there is no point to give them reasons to change server communications.

I agree. I would happily donate if Antihero included a PayPal button. My guess is that he didn't want to feel obligated to fix the recorder every time MFC decided to do an update like they did this time.

You must configure Firefox to open M3U8 with MPC.
In firefox go to --> tools --> options --> applications --> Now search for M3U8 and change its behaviour to use MPC.

Ok in Chrome also works, you need to save the player when you first download.

For me it is important because I do not record a resolution of less than 640/480 :) I've already started, I've mistaken the lines :p For me the Viewers does not work, it looks so:

For me is also important start stream in the best possible resolution.
As far as this is concerned I have not noticed a difference between "Native HLS Playback" and "Play HLS M3u8" but I am concerned with stability, because the "Play HLS M3u8" is much more stable, it does not crash after about 1 hour.
However, I have the objection to both of the above plugins for Chrome, which do not show video at 16:9 but only in 4:3 format :(
Only when I looked at the picture I realized what was wrong with "Viewer" and sorted it by the numbers is fixed now.

I changed also nm.bat so I hope there will be easier to edit. Now I've shown how to use other disks, not only C.
I added "Rank" and increased length for "Tags" to 120 letters :)

Otherwise, I noticed that @ZeChico use the word "Topic" for "Tags" which is not a problem but I've noticed a mistake about decoding it.

Line 455 in his index.html now is:

You're right ... sorry. I have really seen at one point undecoded text but now that I have tried again with your files everything looks OK.
Anyway, I still think that the same result would be with just one line I suggested to you ;) I use it and I have no problem.

I have noticed that after some program appears like CamgirlzREC people from MFC something changes quickly so that the program is no longer working. So it takes a bit of effort for Node Master Recorder.

- You can download https://codeload.github.com/horacio9a/mfc-node/zip/master
- Make directory C:\-nm-mfc
- Put all files in that directory
- Now download NodeJS and install Node according to the instructions contained in README.md

It's not as easy as it sounds. I don't think AntiHero ever released the source code to CamgirlzREC. Therefore, it would require someone to make an entirely new program from scratch. The node options on here are good alternatives.

Antihero hasn't released the source. I have pm'ed him on these forums for the source but he has not replied. I don't want to rewrite it. I would fix it if somebody released the source.

Later user 00101010101 showed me some applications based on MFCRecorder, unfortunately for a few weeks also does not work. Maybe some programmer will look at whether it is possible to update?

Application Description:

"This is the HD-updated copy, download livestreamer or ffmpeg and put it in the respective folder (livestreamer works better and is default).

Run switch.bat to switch between livestreamer and ffmpeg, livestreamer is the default.

I'd recommend unchecking the hide ffmpeg option in the file menu so you can see what's happening, resolution, errors, etc.

You should see something like this for 800x600 (600p) recording if you are using livestreamer, it automatically chooses the highest quality available:

I don't think it will be possible, there are no source code in your attachment. Updated: Actually, there is another link a couple messages above, I did not see it.

Probably, we could try to "wrap" node solution in .exe file. It will never have the same features like CamgirlzREC has, however, it might simplify the life of that people who knows nothing about the node.

I've just tried on my Mac and got .exe file, but I cannot test it, cause I'm a macOS user. Horacio, can you do it? Looks like it should be quite simple to create an standalone app.
