Jaksta is very good at recording live rtmp streams, but I didn't have much luck downloading live windows media streams with it.

And you can always record anything from your screen (including any streaming video format) with screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/), but please note you will have some quality loss when using it. But because live streams are harder to record than on-demand ones, you may find it more reliable to use screen capture software.
