Is there any way to capture the streaming media from digital tutors (www.digitaltutors.com)? Digital-Tutors is an Oklahoma City company close to the nice flowerful Dallas - Seabrook - Cleveland - La Porte area in Texas. i havent tried Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) so far :(

I tried to catch RTMP streaming video from the homepage with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) 3.11 and didn't have any problem with it. Try to stop playing your stream when RMC detects it.

I think Digital-Tutors ( digitaltutors , digitaltutors.com , digital-tutors.com ) uses RTMPE protocol, not rtmp.

You dont need to catch their streams illegally. They offer FREE downloads, called "Vault (http://www.realeyes.com/blog/2011/04/04/digital-tutors/)":

rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) and RTMPexplorer (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/RTMPExplorer-freeware-GUI-for-rtmpsrv-Windows.htm) are too difficult for me (command line? :eek: ) so i prefer commercial Windows GUI's. The below screenshots prove that TubeDigger (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/TubeDigger-streaming-audio-video-downloader-recorder-Adobe-Flash-Player-streaming-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE.htm) (demo version loads only ~50% of the full video) and GetFLV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/GetFLV-Download-and-convert-flash-video-streaming.htm) can catch and download the streams without any problems. They also show that i can play the FLV file with Windows Media Player 6.4 (which is still the best player!!). If you have problems with playing the FLV file in Windows Media Player 6.4 or 9/10/11 then it is because of missing codecs; Senior Member chap is right. The best codec pack i know of is the CCCP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combined_Community_Codec_Pack) designed by some Russian :cool: geniuses. Once installed you can play any audio or video file in Windows Media Player.

While it's true that it's FREE to catch the streams with our tools (Rtmpexplorer, GFLV, TubeDigger, etc.) and you dont even have to be logged in, be advised that Ezell Kendrick (http://www.digitaltutors.com/11/press.php?prid=257) is watching you and logging any such activity with your paid subscriber's account. So if you want to be on the safe side, use a trial account and surf with a transparent proxy server of type A3 or B3.

i do have a VL-friend who is RL subscriber to Digital Tutors and i asked him to borrow me his login/pass which he did. So i logged in and ... there is no difference. Whichever video i choose, i can download without problems with TubeDigger (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/TubeDigger-streaming-audio-video-downloader-recorder-Adobe-Flash-Player-streaming-HTTP-RTMP-RTMPE.htm) and GetFLV (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/GetFLV-Download-and-convert-flash-video-streaming.htm) and play them fine offline (windowsxp, k-lite codec pack full and/or CCCP).

I've spent already enough time telling that there is no problem whatsoever with their videos, either trial or paid or subscription or whatsoever. And i've tested it and re-tested it for the 3rd time. So. If anyone claims wrongly/falsely that paid DT videos are protected and or cant be played back offline, i will delete, promised.

Or send me a PM with your subscriber's login/pass and i will correct the issue in your online account, no problem. I can do it. :cool:
