I need help for downloading .mp4 rtmp video files from http://www.crunchyroll.com/. Last month, it was fine using IDM. I'm a paid user so i need help to download video from the site. Thank You.

Adobe is taking down all the projects that support secure RTMP protocol (RTMPE). rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) is one of the latest examples.

You can use only screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) (or you can try to find a version of RTMP Flash stream recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/record-streaming-video-Adobe-Flash-FLV-videos.htm) that supports RTMPE even if it is not available on the official web-site anymore).

But then this is a bug. On RTMPdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) v2.1d working, but on v2.3 not working.

UPD: I check other versions. Starting with v2.2 will be not working.

The above methods using RTMPdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm) are great if you can easily get the rtmpe:// link etc.

But I've discovered that the folks over at keepvid (keepvid.com) have managed to provide a direct http link to crunchyroll mp4s. I believe only the lowest quality streams are available.

idk if you're still trying to figure out an easy way to download from CrunchyRoll, but it looks like the guys over on the darkztar forums have put together a guide for doing it manually, and a script for automating the process. Seems to work pretty well.
