i tried to download a video from cmt.com with rtmpdump (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/rtmpdump-freeware-console-RTMP-downloading-application.htm), but it stops everytime, even with resume.

here is the stream:

rtmp://cp3547.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mtvnshrdstor/_!/mtvi/bands/a/adams_ryan/ryan_adams_september_epk_240.flv

this is what i type in on the cmd prompt:

C:\1>rtmpdump -r rtmp://cp3547.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mtvnshrdstor/_!/mtvi/bands/a
/adams_ryan/ryan_adams_september_epk_240.flv -o ff.flv --resume

and this is the error i get:

C:\1>rtmpdump -r rtmp://cp3547.edgefcs.net/ondemand/mtvnshrdstor/_!/mtvi/bands/a
/adams_ryan/ryan_adams_september_epk_240.flv -o ff.flv --resume

i know its an encrypted stream, but i thought rtmpdump would download those? can anyone help? thanks

You need to resume download some of the rtmpe streams everytime it stops.

No, it's stopping because the server requested SWF verification and you didn't provide the required SWF parameters. Continuous resuming is stupid, just provide the right options.

And by the way, this is a plain rtmp stream, not rtmpe. That's what the "rtmp" prefix in the URL means.

i tried it the normal way and also with the --resume extension and got the same thing. how do i figure out the right SWF requirements?i tried to download it Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) but it didnt seem too work, so i figured it had some kind of secure stream. i was reading cmt.com also had secure streams also. still cant figure it out how too download.this is the error output on replay media catcher:

Internal error while trying to download RTMP stream
Exception:
m_nErrType = 15
m_strDesc = "SWF Verification detected -- Sorry, these RTMP connections are not allowed to be analyzed."
m_strFile = F:\proj32\TestRTMPClient\RTMPStreamRip.cpp
m_nLineNumber = 912

Can you upload the plug-in to a file sharing service and post it here?
ReplayMediaCatcher can't record RTMPE stream: Download old version of plugin_zrtmp.dll

Do you have plugin_zrtmp.dll version 5.3.6.9 that supports RTMPE and SWF verification?
