I am getting an error message when using WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) 11.2. It says "Cannot find recording directory". I just upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. This never happened in Windows 2000. I am logged in as the administrator, for what that's worth.

Another thing that seems odd is that none of the settings seem to "stick". For example, Media Options check boxes don't stick. Perhaps the software isn't writing to the registry? That wouldn't bother me so much, but it seems like the only media type I can record now is .flv files. My registry entry is attached here:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WMR11]
"RegCode"="abc123"
"Directory"="C:\\Program Files\\WMR11"

Suggestions?

I've seen this issue reported occasionally over the past 3 years. It seems to be related to computers that use languages other than English although many people from Europe and South America use the program. WM Recorder is UNICODE compatible but...

See if you can setup the recording folder on the C drive. Check also the
registry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WMR11\Settings

The recording folder name is under "My Recordings"

Also, download the upgrade WMR 11.3

So upgrade WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) to version 11.3. It is free.

Here is my registry key for the recording folder

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WMR11\Settings]
"My Recordings"="C:\\Download\\Recordings"

Make sure it is on the C: drive if you use WMR 11.2.
