I have been using WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) 11.3 recording mms link in pro mode because the stream consist of multiple video and recording it in ada mode will record only the introduction video.

I downloaded the trial version for wmr12 and unsuccesfuly record the video. There are no error message, just that wmr12 is not responding everytime I played the mms link.

I revert to 11.3 and I cannot record anymore, no error message

Please, I need some advise

It is always nice to see experienced people whose requests are not that easy to resolve (unless you work in the support team of a software vendor).

Even though it is a good idea to uninstall the previous version before installing a new one, I have both WMR 11.3 and WMR 12 and both work perfectly.

However I suggest you to uninstall both versions and install only one of them.

When switching to the PRO mode do you see the following message: "PRO mode successfully setup"?

Also go to Settings->Media options tab and make sure that Windows Media in the Captured File Types group is checked.

p.s. Actually I don't see any big reason to upgrade. WMR 12 can now change to ADA mode much faster so sometimes I don't need to close all the applications that use my internet bandwidth heavily. However there are some features that you need like improved reprocessing and scheduling... Of course you might just like WM Converter (http://all-streaming-media.com/convert-audio-video-files/WM-Converter-audio-video-file-conversion-within-WM-Recorder.htm)....

Hi, I did the step below and now it worked perfectly, though I don't know why...maybe deleting all the cookies in explorer or uninstall - reinstall wmp player

Uninstall both WM recorder
Clear all cookies in internet explorer
Uninstall - Reinstall WMP11
Install WMR 11.3

I checked the Forum but I couldn't find an example URL or web site where this problem occurs. There are no changes in WMR12 PRO mode and it should work just the same as the previous version.

The only one thing that I can think of that might cause a problem with the update to WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) 12 would be... Not having a current version of WinPcap. Version 4.0 of WinPcap Might help you out.

I think WM Recorder 12 is a solid program and also Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) version 2.10 is rock solid aswell.

do you have the serial no. for 11.3 and 12??? i'm only using the demo version.
