Hi,

Trying to find a solution to an error I continure getting when viewing my class lectures (Mediasite), IT dept at the school has not been able to help me out :(

The message that shows up is:

Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help. (-1072885327)

I have tried everything the WMP Troubleshoot page suggested and no luck!

OS is Vista 32 on a HP tx 2000 WMP 11 and IE 7

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

What is Mediasite? Do you have any sample URLs of videos that you're trying to watch?

Can you watch these videos at all (or do you experience this problem from time to time)?

Sorry do not have sample URL..

Mediasite is the platform software via which our class lectures are made available to the students.

Yeh I keep getting the error as I am watching a lecture, it varys from a few seconds into the lecture to few minutes in. Rebuffering from a few mins before the error appears lets me watch a few more minutes of the lecture but has become really annoying to do that :(

Have you tried to read FAQ on the web-site of Mediasite? Have you tried to contact their support?

Try to disable UDP and TCP protocols. Not sure whether it can help or not.

I had tried disabling the USP/TCP options before has not helped.
