Install Windows XP with WMP 10 onto a virtual machine. You can use freeware virtual box or MS Virtual PC. Then you can use FairUse4WM (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/FairUse4WM-freeware-DRM-removal-Windows-software-Strip-copy-protection-from-WMV-ASF-WMA-Windows-Media-Player.htm):
Tutorial: Remove DRM from WMV on Windows XP with freeware FairUse4WM
If your content provider forces you to upgrade to the latest version of IBX, don't waste your time onto this.
You can use screen video capture software (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/) like WM Capture (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-from-screen/WM-Capture-screen-video-capture-software-that-records-with-high-quality.htm) to re-record WMV files from screen. You can also use lossy DRM removal software (http://undrm.info/remove-DRM-protection/) which basically does the same thing (records from screen).
