Hi,

I have VLC running with rtdpdump, both video and sound works on the video stream, but it is lagging, stopping alot, it is not a beauty to watch.

Is it possible to buffer lets say 5-10MB all the time and watch the "channel" with somekind of delay? Because if i download the file the video runs smoothly.

Other video players or tools i could use instead would also be an option.

VLC has an option

--live-caching <integer [0 .. 60000]> Live capture caching (ms)

So maybe you can use it in your command.
Like this:-
-o - | vlc --live-caching 60000 -
