Guys, any idea as to why this line wouldn't work? I'm interested in playing in VLC a stream powered by ustream. I get rtmp server request error.

Awesome. Thanks chap. I didn't know that a stream would work without actually specifying the swf streamer. New info! ;)

(P.S I actually had the vlc player in the same directory as rtmpdump, that's why I didn't set another path.)
