USPS has recently jacked up the international shipping charge for packages, a lot! There is no longer Parcel Post which was affordable. There are only the different International Priority options (USPS Priority Mail and USPS Express Mail) which are ridiculously expensive. It's like $45 for a 3 pounds!!! Of course UPS, FedEx, DHL are all even more expensive. Are there any other companies (postals or courier services) that are cheaper?

If you use package consolidation (http://shopping-and-shipping.blogspot.com/2011/04/what-is-package-consolidation-and-can.html), it is not that expensive. I condolidate my packages using Shipito (http://all-streaming-media.com/links/shipito.htm) and then send them via USPS.
